Scott Ritter is a voice of sanity still largely ignored in the national debate, which is a disgrace, product of a deliberate establishment information blockade. After a lifetime dedicated to nuclear disarmament and the quest for peace and justice in a world that remains largely ignorant, indifferent and often hostile to his message, Scott Ritter, now confronted with the latest criminal insanity of the Ukraine War, that is, the West's latest provocation on Russia (blowing up Moscow's nuclear alarm radars to facilitate a sneak US "first strike"), has had enough. He's giving up on the human race, especially the brainwashed masses in the captive "collective West", and we can't blame him for that. No decent person can avoid feeling despair and even angry frustration at the state of the West, and especially the Hegemon itself, where, in a trifecta of circumstances, ignorance reigns supreme as poverty stalks the land, while the top 0.0001% accumulate ever larger fortunes to do their evil work. (This is the inevitable result of living under a compulsively warmongering oligarchy instead of a democracy). The symptoms are everywhere, mirroring the dilapidated state of America's infrastructure, once the envy of the planet. In this benighted land, as social focus and priorities are wasted on huge imbecilities, the depraved political and media classes work nonstop to push the US and the world toward a wholly unjustified nuclear Armageddon. The Biden administration has quietly given Ukraine permission to strike inside Russia — solely near the area of Kharkiv — using U.S.-provided weapons, three U.S. officials and two other people familiar with the move said Thursday, a major reversal that will help Ukraine to better defend its second-largest city.
“The president recently directed his team to ensure that Ukraine is able to use U.S. weapons for counter-fire purposes in Kharkiv so Ukraine can hit back at Russian forces hitting them or preparing to hit them,” one of the U.S. officials said, adding that the policy of not allowing long-range strikes inside Russia “has not changed.”
Ukraine asked the U.S. to make this policy change only after Russia’s offensive on Kharkiv began this month, the official added. All the people were granted anonymity to discuss internal decisions that haven’t been announced. …
In effect, Ukraine can now use American-provided weapons, such as rockets and rocket launchers, to shoot down launched Russian missiles heading toward Kharkiv, at troops massing just over the Russian border near the city, or Russian bombers launching bombs toward Ukrainian territory. But the official said Ukraine cannot use those weapons to hit civilian infrastructure or launch long-range missiles, such as the Army Tactical Missile System, to hit military targets deep inside Russia.
It’s a stunning shift the administration initially said would escalate the war by more directly involving the U.S. in the fight. But worsening conditions for Ukraine on the battlefield –– namely Russia’s advances and improved position in Kharkiv –– led the president to change his mind. …
What this means is that if Volodmyr Zelensky (whose legal term of office as Ukraine’s President ended on May 20th) decides that Ukraine should use American weapons and bombs to hit “military targets” that are in Russia and “near the area of Kharkiv,” then the U.S. Government will not object. The article does not say how the phrase “military targets” there is being defined, nor how “near the area of Kharkiv” is being defined.
One also may reasonably assume that if ever Ukraine would violate Biden’s order in this regard, then Biden would condemn Ukraine for having done so. Whether or not Russia’s Government would take that as being sincerely an expression that only Ukraine was to blame for that U.S.-and-Ukraine attack against Russia is impossible reasonably to predict in advance. Consequently, if the limitations upon what Ukraine’s government can do with America’s weapons and bombs are not yet already over the limits of what will precipitate a nuclear attack by Russia against the United States and its colonies (‘allies’), as having “crossed over Russia’s red lines” of what Russia considers to constitute an acceptable violation of Russia’s national security, then how Russia will respond in any case if Ukraine will violate Biden’s command and Biden will condemn Ukraine for that, is likewise impossible reasonably to predict in advance. However, if Russia will in such an instance unleash its estimated 5,580 nuclear weapons against the U.S. and its colonies, then there will be a debate among the immediate survivors of WW3 regarding whether the villain here was Biden or instead Putin, or both.
If WW3 will happen before America’s November 5th elections, then if such elections will be held, either Donald Trump or Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will be the President starting in 2025. If WW3 will happen after such elections, then America’s voters today should know that on May 28th, the Washington Post, headlined “Trump makes sweeping promises to donors on audacious fundraising tour”, and reported that at one fundraising event for billionaires and centi-millionaires (not for mere voters), “he suggested that he would have bombed Moscow and Beijing if Russia invaded Ukraine or China invaded Taiwan.” In other words: to him, regarding the current war in Ukraine, and regarding the long-sought-by-the-U.S.-Government war in Taiwan, those two wars and to-become wars, are not merely “other people’s wars,” but these are our wars — meaning those American billionaires’ and centi-millionaires’ wars — to which he, as the U.S. President, would respond immediately by bombing, respectively, Russia and China.
Ukraine has been ruled by America’s President ever since February 2014, and Russians have long known that this is so.

Yes, I will post Ray Charles, but I am not thinking about Ray’s Georgia. Nope. I am thinking about the frantic Western effort to launch a color revolution in Georgia, because that country’s legislature has the audacity to believe that domestic political groups should report if they are receiving at least 20% of their funding from foreigners. This is just one more example of the stinking hypocrisy I described in my previous article.
The spectacle unfolding in Tbilisi is reminiscent of a Monty Python skit, only this one includes real violence and bloodshed. We have seen the Foreign Ministers of Lithuania, Estonia and Iceland show up in Tbilisi and join the protests, by giving speeches to seething crowds, denouncing the actions of the Georgian legislature. Can you imagine the freakout in Washington if Russia’s Lavrov, China’s Wang Yi, and Hungary’s Szijjártó showed up at a Trump rally to denounce Biden’s policy in Ukraine? Exactly. The United States would not tolerate that shit for one minute. Talk about double standards.

Then you have the Georgian President, who was born in France and is a French citizen. Salome Zourabichvili, if she had the same pedigree (i.e., born in France but granted U.S. citizenship) in the United States, she would be banned by the Constitution from serving as President. Yet, here she is, [ethnically Georgian 100%] shamelessly promoting foreign interests over those of the people she was elected to serve. And the majority of the European governments, as well as the Biden Administration, are vowing to impose sanctions if the legislature dares to override Zourabichvili’s veto.
It may be that the West, stupidly in my view, sees this as a baited trap to lure Russia to intervene if the color revolution picks up steam. I believe that Russia, in light of its failure to respond to the Maidan revolution in 2014, is not going to sit passively and see how things work out. At a minimum, Russia’s intelligence service is probably passing information to its intelligence counterparts in Tbilisi about the identities of foreign operators working to manufacture chaos and the source of the funds pouring into Georgia.
The obsession* of the West to meddle in other governments and foment regime change must end. I think Russia and China, as a result of their latest summit, are committed to achieving that goal. The weaker nations of the world, especially in the Global South, are awakened to this threat. That’s one of the reasons that the nations in the African Sahel have given the French and the United States the boot. I personally hope that marks the beginning of a welcome turn in world affairs.
* It's actually not an obsession, Larry. It's worse than that. It's merely the ineluctable course followed by all imperialist nations, and the US is the Summum malum of all imperialisms.

I don’t think foreign interference gets more blatant than that.
It shows that when you control the media and you can inject millions of USD into a relatively poor country it is easy to capture people who are struggling to survive. They see these phony groups and associations saying IF only you become EU or NATO you will become wealthy. Yes, it is a pipe dream but they fall for it every single time. The US has done this over and over, even though it is a bankrupt country and more of its own people live in poverty than in many of the countries who fall for the trap.
Generally true but with the present Georgian relationship with Russia Georgia’s economy is booming. This may be poorly understood by the protesters or perhaps buying rioters with Western dollars is just too tempting, but as in the past joining with the West was not a pleasant history as Russians were being shelled in the south.and Russia did react. It will be proactive again.
They should hang her. In public. Then bury the body in an unmarked grave.

The fact that the USA, UK, Australia and others (the EU is currently considering such a law, along with its hypocritical total ban on Russian media in Europe) all have exactly the same laws in place requiring foreign agent registration just highlights the incredible hypocrisy at work here.

The Georgian government backed by Russia will do what China did with HK unrest fomented by the West. Allow it to run to gain maximum information about the dissident forces and then crack down on it…. conclusively. If the West wants a tide of Georgian refugees it can give them passports and take them in…. Or send them where the West needs bodies- on the Russian front. They can fight and die gloriously for their ideals.
There are not going to be any more pushover revolutions.

Larry you are absolutely right to focus on Georgia. It is becoming clear to me that Ukraine is far from the only game in town for our globalist masters. They are determined to take down (or rather over) Russia and pinch its resources and don’t care who they sacrifice in the process. It’s easy to buy up/blackmail/intimidate most Western leaders. If all else fails they will try to kill them (Fico). Rent-a-mobs are also relatively easy to conjure up with the right resources. As for the presstitute media, they are the worst type of lying scum.
When Ukraine has had enough, Georgia, Moldova, and Lithuania (think Kalingrad) are in the wings. Think of a top professional boxer up against inferior sparring partners. Throw enough of them at him, he’ll eventually be beaten. That’s their thinking, I imagine. They are not going to give up until and unless the mugs being thrown into the fight wake up. I hope and pray that the wretched Ukrainian population – at least those that remain – will soon realize they’ve been suckered by their western supposed allies. Ditto the populations of those countries who’ve been impoverished by their deeply corrupt ‘leaders’. The upcoming European elections are critical. I also think Trump’s choice of Vice President is equally important. I fear he’ll be talked into appointing another Establishment shill like Pence was. I fear the UK – my own country – is beyond redemption. (Incidentally, if someone can explain to me why our Indian Prime Minister with his Indian wife and her billionaire father-in-law, will decamp to the US, where he’s already a citizen, the moment he’s booted out of Downing Street), cares so strongly about Ukraine, I would be most grateful? I’d suggest the only “president” that needs to be called is sitting in Columbia University. S/he has a delinquent recidivist in the international “Home Science” department cooking up hate-cookies again. If V. Nuland is not behind this, I’ll eat my hat (figuratively speaking).
Based on the other comments (herein) this Salome Zourabichvili seems like a slippery eel to deal with. She’s unlikely to call for help (from Russia). And the Russians have plenty on their plate to deal with at the moment. But hopefully they act swiftly — as they did in Kazakhstan (2022?) once help was requested. I think one seemingly eternal ongoing “cat playing with a soon to be dead mouse” game in the Ukraine is enough for the public bloodlust moment (neocons exempted).
I agree about not voting as some wag said “it only encourages them”. I haven’t voted in UK national elections for thirty years. Tweedle dum and Tweeedle Dee. Don’t give them legitimacy – not that they care, but true freedom is being able to think for oneself. I’d lay odds that Trump will surround himself with as many Neocons if he’s elected as he did last time, with son-in-law Jared still skulking in the background.

n 1936, Mao Zedong foretold the future when he prophesied the following: "When China finally wins her independence, then legitimate foreign trading interests will enjoy more opportunity than ever before. The power of production and consumption of 450,000,000 people is not a matter that can remain the exclusive interest of the Chinese, but one that must engage the many nations. Our millions of people, once really emancipated, with their great latent productive possibilities freed for creative activity in every field, can help improve the economy as well as raise the cultural level of the whole world."
In 1945 Mao said “Some people refuse to understand why the Chinese Communists do not fear capitalism but, on the contrary, develop it as much as possible. Our answer is simple: we have to replace foreign imperialist and native feudalist oppression with capitalist development because that is the inevitable course of our economy and because both the capitalist class and the proletariat benefit. What is superfluous is not native capitalism but foreign imperialism and native feudalism. On the contrary, our capitalism is indeed too little. To develop industry, enormous capital is required. Where will it come from? It can only come from two sources: the capital accumulated by the Chinese people themselves and from foreign loans, and we must welcome all foreign investments as long as they obey the laws of China and are advantageous to our economy.”
Of course, Mao’s desire to integrate into the global economy was put on hold due to the unilaterally imposed Western trade embargo and the Sino-Soviet split. But Mao did not give up on his vision of global economic integration and he continually raised the issue of ending the trade embargo during the 136 ambassadorial level meetings that took place in Geneva (1954-1958) and later Warsaw (1958-1970). Mao’s efforts finally paid off as Nixon and Kissinger officially agreed to end the Western trade embargo in 1972.
After Mao’s death, Deng took full advantage of the newly available trade opportunities and re-oriented China’s economy in order to maximize direct foreign investment. It is nearly impossible to summarize the unprecedented skyrocketing of every conceivable metric that China has achieved over the last several decades, but here are some highlights that may provide some awareness of China’s amazing accomplishment: Wages have tripled every ten years for forty years in a row. Education spending has doubled every eight years for forty years in a row. 800 million people have been lifted out of poverty (“poverty” as defined by the World Bank). According to the “Lived Change Index”, between 1990 and 2019, China experienced the highest increase in per-capita GDP of any country on earth (which is even more impressive when one considers China’s large population and the fact that Poland in the number two position, only grew by a factor of nine, while China, in the top spot, grew by more than a factor of thirty!!!).
China’s planned socialist economy did not allow massive slums to sprawl as they always do as an unwanted consequence of capitalist development and economic growth. Instead, China built hundreds of cities from scratch, including twenty cities that house over a million citizens. China developed the world's greatest high-speed rail network, they became the world's leading manufacturer of green energy as well as the world’s greatest user of green energy. China developed a world-class education system that leads the world in the number of patents and published research papers. Perhaps most importantly, China is working with the developing world and offering them a hand up, instead of a knee on their necks (as is offered by the Western imperialists). China is helping the under-developed world to develop and is sharing their expertise and know-how, and providing assistance with large infrastructure projects that are desperately needed to improve lives and bring prosperity. Additionally, China provides low-interest loans that finance, facilitate, and enable, all the development described above.

The Chinese have pushed furthest the notion of the city as a product. One of the most important aspects of China’s recent economic development is the profusion of new cities being built from scratch. These aren’t expansions of existing communities but fully master-planned, manufactured centers of economic and social life, often built on newly developed land such as artificial islands or reclaimed desert. On some estimates, China has built more than 600 new cities since the establishment of the People’s Republic in 1949. Some of these manufactured cities have been extraordinary successes. Shenzhen rose from a rice paddy into one of the world’s most dynamic metropolises—its economy is the size of South Korea’s—in just three or four decades. But even Shenzhen pales, compared with the plans for Xiongan in Hebei province, a new city that covers over 770 square miles, more than twice the size of New York City. The West is not happy with any of this. After ending the trade embargo in 1972, the West had hoped to affect regime change culminating in the failed color revolution in Tiananmen Square. The West has worked tirelessly to infiltrate China’s political apparatus and get their political puppets in power in order to implement policies that benefit Western interests. This is the basic MO of Western imperialism, but it has failed in China. Wikileaks reported on a leaked diplomatic cable that laments Xi Jinping is “untainted by corruption”, “Mr. Clean”, “low key, humble, and self-effacing”, “a good guy”, and ideologically “redder than red”. None of these traits make Xi someone that the West can use to further their own malign interests, quite the contrary in fact. This is why Xi is reviled in the Western press and presented as a dictatorial human rights abuser who routinely harvests the organs of religious folks, when he’s not selling fentanyl to Appalachia or genociding Uyghurs in Xinjiang.
But, Mao’s vision has come true and it is coming more true with each passing day, much to the consternation of the West. Western hegemony is being destroyed by a rising China and there is no clear solution to this problem. Since China is so integral to the global economy, it will not be easy to sanction or isolate China economically. Since the Chinese market is so lucrative, it is difficult to get greedy Western capitalists on board with the policy of decoupling urged by Western strategists. You may remember how Trump was mercilessly mocked by the entirety of the liberal press when he tweeted:
“We don’t need China and, frankly, would be far better off without them… Our great American companies are hereby ordered to immediately start looking for an alternative to China, including bringing your companies HOME and making your products in the USA.”
In order to attain a decoupling from China, Biden has adopted a more sophisticated approach. Unlike Trump, Biden has harnessed his media allies to promote the manufactured narrative that Western strategists hope will help achieve China’s economic isolation. This new strategy is predicated on the hypocritical trashing of decades of “free trade” rhetoric as well as decades of faux environmentalism and a pretend desire to increase our use of renewable energy including solar panels, batteries, and electric cars. In true Orwellian fashion, the Biden administration is trusting that everyone will simply forget about the decades of propaganda extolling free trade as being in the best interest of everyone because it lowers prices, breeds competition, and benefits consumers by increasing access to goods. We are to immediately forget that fossil fuels will soon render our planet unlivable. As imperialist imperatives change so do their narratives.
The new buzzword is “overproduction”. China has “broken the rules” by subsidizing its green energy industries. Of course, this is just more hypocrisy as Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, signed into law in August of 2022, invested a trillion dollars into our own domestic green energy industries. All of a sudden things have changed 180 degrees. Free trade is now bad, green energy is now bad, and subsidizing domestic industries is now bad (except for when we do it).
So, China must be sanctioned with tariffs because they have “overproduced” green energy which has caused the price of solar panels, batteries, and electric cars to be “too low”. There is now “too much” green energy. China has “overproduced” green energy. It’s almost as if every US household has all their useful surfaces covered in solar panels and yet there are extra solar panels just lying around the yard and on the side of the house cluttering everything up. There’s only one solution to this clutter caused by China’s “overproduction”. Biden is putting a 100% tariff on Chinese electric cars so US consumers will have to pay double what they otherwise would. Solar panels from China will cost US consumers 50% more than what they otherwise would. So much for promoting free trade and green energy. It’s almost as if Biden doesn’t give a fuck about the interests of the working class and is solely interested in making sure China responds with tariffs of their own. And Biden and his media allies are prepared to spin the most hypocritical, irrational, and counter-intuitive narratives, in order to implement their imperialist strategy.
My guess is that Biden hopes to stoke a trade war and that he is ready with additional tariffs and sanctions immediately following China’s response to this current round of tariffs. In this way, Biden hopes to go back and forth with escalating rounds of tariffs and sanctions, eventually making it unprofitable for Western companies to do business in China. What else can Western strategists do when greedy capitalists who have no class consciousness or concern for the imperatives of imperialism refuse to decouple from China’s immensely lucrative market? Initiate a trade war and make sure that it becomes unprofitable to do business with China, seems like their only option.
Additionally, the speed of the green energy revolution will also be tremendously slowed down and reliance on fossil fuels will remain unnecessarily high. This is just a bad policy and bad strategy for an empire in decline that lacks the competence necessary to shift from confrontation to cooperation. Indeed by choosing confrontation the US ruling cliques show their appalling mediocrity and political myopia by not properly appreciating the political pacification benefits derived from assuring a decent consumption floor to the beleaguered working class. Until this fundamental shift takes place, and civilised collaboration replaces economic war, the ruling Western Establishment will continue to escalate its violent, immoral, and counterproductive efforts to maintain its supremacy while asking the global working class to make all the sacrifices on their behalf.

It shows that when you control the media and you can inject millions of USD into a relatively poor country it is easy to capture people who are struggling to survive. They see these phony groups and associations saying IF only you become EU or NATO you will become wealthy. Yes, it is a pipe dream but they fall for it every single time. The US has done this over and over, even though it is a bankrupt country and more of its own people live in poverty than in many of the countries who fall for the trap.
