ANTI-NEOLIBERALISM

NASRALLAH—These four points must be detailed as they determine our stance. This was an act of aggression, but it was presented as a reaction, and it had been announced in the days leading up to the aggression that there would be an Israeli response, and that we should all await it. Various countries intervened, many hypocritical, stating that Israel had the right to respond. Respond to what? To the falsification I am about to address.

We completely reject this assessment and characterization: this was an act of aggression. It’s part of the ongoing battle since the creation of this entity, since the massacres of 1947 and 1948 in occupied Palestine, southern Lebanon, Hula, and other parts of southern Lebanon. It’s all part of the Israeli-Zionist-American war against Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and the peoples of the region.

EDITORS—Two huge topics draw the attention of the Blowback group: the US attempts at (again) regime change in Venezuela, the country with the world’s largest deposits of oil, and Netayanhu’s deranged scheme to complete his total ethnic cleansing of Palestinians with the full backing of the West, a project that is threatening now the actual dissolution of Israel for the first time since this criminal Zionist project saw light in 1948.

PAUL EDWARDS—Though it’s clear that none of these game-changing events was consciously, intentionally arranged, or effectively planned, by the massive, fumbling powers that own and operate our government, they all were due to blundering loss of control of the vaunted, failsafe management system.  The fact that they occurred proximately was purely accidental, but what they demonstrate, each in its own particular way, is how pathetically inept our government really is in defending its vulnerable core interests.

FRANK SCOTT—The increasing threats posed by capitalist economics that bring luxurious splendor to some only by creating grotesque misery for others have increased to become immediate rather than long-term problems for all of us and not just some of us. The present mass murders taking place in Israel and Ukraine are immediate problems for tens of millions but the profit seeking assault on all of nature puts all humans in terrible jeopardy.

ERIC ZUESSE—In other words, while adopting advanced manufacturing technologies would fulfill the purpose of the US Department of Defense, it is not profitable for private industry to do so.

Despite virtually all the problems the report identifies stemming from private industry’s disproportionate influence over the US DIB, the report never identifies private industry itself as a problem.

If private industry and its prioritization of profits is the central problem inhibiting the DIB from fulfilling its purpose, the obvious solution is nationalizing the DIB by replacing private industry with state-owned enterprises. [In both Russia and China, the weapons-manufacturers remain under majority control by the Government, so that the top motivation for each one of those firms is to fulfill the Government’s national-security needs — NOT the desires of any private investor.]
