The same article admits that the US government achieves this through funds distributed by the National Endowment for Democracy’s (NED) many subsidiaries, (NED is a CIA-created and controlled “NGO”), including the International Republican Institute (IRI), National Democratic Institute (NDI), and Freedom House. It also mentions adjacent private foundations like George Soros’ Open Society Foundation.

JOHN VAROLI—Besides that, however, the fact is that the Russian military is now far too strong and determined. Russian soldiers understand that their country once again faces an existential threat from the West, as with Napoleon’s invasion of Russia in 1812 and Hitler’s in 1941.
The heroism of Russian soldiers is impressive. The ability of their officers to adapt and innovate has confounded U.S. generals. The dedication of Russia’s defense industries to supply the front is stunning. (Remember spring and summer 2022 when NATO officials told us that Russia would soon run out of weapons?)

THOMAS FAZI—The US’s role in the overthrow of Allende, and its support for Pinochet’s regime, is well known. Israel’s role, on the other hand, is lesser known — but just as important. Israel did not just train Chilean personnel to aid the repression of its own people. After a US arms embargo against Chile passed the US Congress in 1976, a cable from the US Embassy in Chile on April 24, 1980, acknowledged that Israel was a major arms supplier to Pinochet [including missiles, tanks, and aircraft]. Another US cable, on April 10, 1984, quoted the American undersecretary of state as saying that Israel was still one of the main weapons suppliers to the regime. This steady stream of defense equipment undercut any potential benefits of the US arms embargo because Israel was not part of the deal.

EDITOR—The panel discusses the colossal moral turpitude and imbecility of today’s leadership in the “collective West”, constantly starting wars and other acts of hostility against scores of nations that reject their imperialist rule, and why the populations subject to their criminal, undemocratic rule need to push for a new kind of political system assuring freedom and democracy instead of a fake democracy restricted to the super-rich elites. BATIUSHKA—The Western elite tells us that the Ukraine is going to start negotiating with Russia. Has Russia been informed about this? After all, it does need two sides to agree to negotiations before they can start. Did no-one tell the Russians that? The elite has also forgotten that the Ukraine has passed Presidential decrees outlawing negotiations and that its leader has insulted Russia many times. And, from a Russian viewpoint, what is there to talk about anyway, when for eight years between 2014 and 2022 before the Russian Liberation Operation began, the Ukrainians on Western orders refused to negotiate?
