You Can Only Support Trump Or Harris If You Don’t See The US Empire For The Beast It Is

Listen to a reading of this article (reading by Tim Foley):

People who think of either Donald Trump or Kamala Harris as decent or acceptable simply have not realized how immensely evil you have to be to become a US president.

In order to support either Harris or Trump you need to have an extreme ignorance of the murderousness and depravity of the US empire, which they both serve. Only a complete failure to see and understand the vast scale of the abusiveness of the US power structure could cause you to view these two candidates as meaningfully different from each other — let alone see one of them as decent enough to be worthy of your support.

Both Trump and Harris are auditioning for a role that will necessarily entail the creation of mountains of human corpses by US-sponsored violence, as has every viable US presidential candidate throughout our lives.

This is because the US empire is deeply evil. Not the country called the United States in and of itself, but the globe-spanning power structure which functions as an empire that’s structured around it. This vast power structure is held together by rivers of human blood, and if you’re the Democratic or Republican nominee to lead it as president then you are necessarily a deeply evil person, because you have sufficiently assured all the necessary powers that be that you will continue that bloodshed in order to become the nominee.

Most Americans (and most westerners generally) fail to truly see and understand how profoundly evil the US-centralized empire is, which is the only thing that allows all this political energy to go into pretending there are these hugely significant differences between the Democrat and the Republican presidential candidate every four years. If they could really ingest the scale of the empire’s brutality and tyranny with a deep sense of empathy for their fellow human beings upon whom it is inflicted, they would never support anyone who is pledged to help operate the slaughter machine, and they would not see any would-be operators of that machine as meaningfully different from any other. All they would see is the need for the slaughter machine to be dismantled.

Both Trump and Harris are auditioning for a role that will necessarily entail the creation of mountains of human corpses by US-sponsored violence, as has every viable US presidential candidate throughout our lives.  This is because the US empire is deeply evil.

The most sophisticated propaganda engine ever created exists to prevent this understanding from taking root, in the west generally and in the United States in particular. Americans are the most propagandized population on this planet, and their propaganda indoctrination is at its most intensive during the quadrennial performance ritual known as the US presidential race. The whole thing is geared toward falsely exaggerating the differences between the two candidates while drawing emphasis away from the 99 percent of the issues on which they are indistinguishable from each other. And those 99 percent similarities happen to be on all the most murderous and tyrannical behaviors of the US government.

If Americans weren’t so aggressively propagandized and indoctrinated, this would all be obvious to them, and this election race performance wouldn’t get them clapping along like children at a puppet show. The abusive status quo necessary for maintaining the US-centralized empire would not be consented to at all, and would be forced to collapse. There’s too much power riding on preventing this from happening for Americans to be allowed to have a real say in their elections, so they are propagandized to the gills into clapping along instead.

Liberals are freaking out because The Los Angeles Times and The Washington Post chose not to endorse a presidential candidate this election cycle, which is silly. Newspapers shouldn’t endorse political candidates. How is this not obvious to everyone?

It’s absolutely ridiculous that news outlets endorsing political candidates is a thing at all. The first job of a real journalist is to have an adversarial relationship with those in power, regardless of who wins. The only correct political position from the perspective of journalistic ethics is “If you are in power I will do everything I can to expose all your lies and misdeeds, no matter what your party or platform happens to be.” This position is vastly more important in the US, the nation with the world’s most powerful government, and becomes more important the more influence your news outlet has.

If you are campaigning for one side or the other, you’ve obviously hurt your ability to take this position. You’re communicating a line of favoritism not only to the public, but to your outlet’s staff, and to the politicians you’re meant to be holding to account. You’re making decisions which can help or hinder your outlet’s ability to gain access to an administration once in office by doing or not doing what amounts to a political favor for them. The press should not be doing political favors for any political candidate, and the expectation that they should inhibits their ability to do critical journalism.

Obviously news outlets have biases like anyone else, and they should do everything they can to bring transparency to those biases. But that should look like saying “Yes we have an ideological bias, so here’s what we’re doing to prevent that from skewing our coverage of the powerful,” not “Everybody please vote for Candidate X because we like them more than Candidate Y.”

The whole controversy is stupid. The LA Times and Washington Post shouldn’t be endorsing a presidential candidate. No news outlet should, at least if they purport to be engaged in journalism rather than political activism.

Back when people used to watch TV they’d complain that there’s “a hundred channels and nothing on,” and they were right: there WAS nothing on that was worth watching. Mainstream culture was just that vapid and worthless — and it still is. There’s nothing in it that fulfills us, that nourishes us in the ways we long to be nourished, that tells us real things in a real way about the world as it actually is. People would flip through TV channels disgusted at the emptiness of it all because that’s all they were being presented with: empty drivel with no edifying or transformative value.

People experience the same thing today when scrolling through their online media feeds and streaming services. They’re searching for something true and meaningful, but unless you’ve been lucky enough to stumble into a rare corner of the internet where real things are being discussed, all the algorithm feeds you is propaganda and distraction. Mindless entertainment. Celebrities. Gossip. Mainstream electoral politics. Donald Trump.

For generations we’ve been corralled toward streams of information which are designed to turn us into idiots and sociopaths. Designed to keep us from getting good information about what the powerful people who rule us are really up to. To dull our curiosity and keep us from asking useful and penetrating questions about our society. To direct any political impulses we might be able to muster in this confusing fog toward mainstream political factions which all support the status quo. To stop us from looking too closely at the death and misery our government inflicts upon people in far away countries. To keep us from noticing that we live in a mind-controlled dystopia that is fueled by endless exploitation, abuse, mass military violence, and ecocide. To keep us mindlessly turning the gears of the empire and trusting our rulers to sort things out on our behalf. To keep us sedated and compliant instead of brilliant and inconvenient.

It takes work to get outside of that matrix of manipulation. It takes time to find good sources of information and ingest what they’ve got to teach us. It takes effort to find our way into depth and meaning inside this fraudulent empire. But that’s what we all ache for. That’s what kept people flipping through channels in frustration in the glory days of television. They were looking for the depth. They were searching for something authentic. Something real.

Forming a truth-based relationship with reality can be difficult, but it’s a necessary step if you want to be an authentic person and come out of that itching sense of dissatisfaction which all controlled minds must inevitably experience. This is the only path to real and lasting happiness. Until then all you get is the fake decoy happiness they try to sell you in advertisements and Hollywood movies that comes from always getting your way and owning the right products and achieving all your goals and having a compelling personal story to tell people. This isn’t real happiness. It cannot last. It cannot satisfy.

Only truth can lead to satisfaction. And everything in this fake plastic dystopia is structured around preventing us from ever finding it.

How October 7 Unmasked the True Terrorists of The Middle East.

George’s Newsletter is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

It’s been a partnership that has waged a brutal campaign of expansionism, occupation, and targetted assassinations – always masked as "self-defence" but now seen for what it truly is—a systematic drive to dominate the region at any cost.

Since Israel’s creation in 1948, it has pursued a relentless agenda of ethnic cleansing and territorial expansion, uprooting more than 700,000 Palestinians during the Nakba, followed by decades, a quest to expand its borders through military occupation, illegal settlements, and apartheid policies which have rendered Palestinians as second-class citizens in their own homeland – this has been an ongoing project of Zionist expansionism, with the aim to control the Middle East.

When Hamas launched a large-scale operation against Israeli forces last year, it was a direct response to decades of occupation, apartheid, and violent subjugation. It wasn’t an unprovoked attack but a desperate cry for freedom from a people who have been trapped under an Israeli-imposed blockade for 17 years, subjected to regular bombardments, and deprived of basic human rights.

The West's portrayal of it as a “terrorist massacre” disregards the daily, ongoing terror faced by Palestinians—bombings, home demolitions, arbitrary arrests, and the killing of civilians.

For decades, the narrative of “self-defence” has been weaponised to justify the most heinous acts of violence, from bombings that level entire city blocks in Gaza to assassinations of political leaders in Lebanon, Syria, and Iran, by Israel and the US.

October 7 also cast a harsh light on Israel's wider pattern of aggression across the region, which has gone largely unchallenged. In Lebanon, Israel has repeatedly launched unlawful and illegal attacks, violating Lebanese sovereignty and targetting Hezbollah, while inflicting significant civilian casualties. The attacks aren’t isolated incidents but part of Israel’s strategy to suppress any form of resistance to its regional dominance.

The assassination of Imad Mughniyeh, Hezbollah commander Faoud Shukr, and other high-profile targets—including Hamas leaders like Yahya Sinwar and Ismail Haniyeh—are framed as counter-terrorism but what they really are, is, targeted state executions meant to weaken and intimidate Arab resistance.

The assassination of Iranian generals, notably Qasem Soleimani in a US-Israel coordinated drone strike in Baghdad, further demonstrates the lengths to which these powers will go to maintain dominance in the region. Israel’s recent escalation in Syria, including the bombing of the Iranian consulate in Damascus, and attacks on Iranian positions, has been part of a campaign to undermine Iranian influence and assert control over the geopolitical landscape of the Middle East.

Yesterday's escalatory bombing attack by Israel on Iran underscores Israel's willingness to provoke broader regional conflicts, with the US's tacit or direct support.

America’s complicity in Israel’s crimes is undeniable. US foreign policy has consistently aligned with Israeli interests, whether through diplomatic support or military interventions that have destabilised the region. The Iraq War, sanctions on Syria, and the military presence in Lebanon have all served to weaken Arab nations while strengthening Israel’s strategic position.

October 7 should be understood not as the starting point of violence but as a moment that exposed the layers of aggression, deceit, and oppression that have long defined the Israeli-US alliance in the Middle East. Portraying Arabs as the primary aggressors has been a deliberate narrative constructed to justify Israeli and American wars, occupations, and covert operations. It has obscured who the real terrorists are—state actors who employ massive military power, intelligence operations, and economic coercion to maintain control.

For decades, the narrative of “self-defence” has been weaponised to justify the most heinous acts of violence, from bombings that level entire city blocks in Gaza to assassinations of political leaders in Lebanon, Syria, and Iran, by Israel and the US. It’s been rhetoric that has provided cover for genocidal policies which have aimed to erase Palestinian resistance and ensure Israeli hegemony over the Middle East.

The language of “terrorism” has been selectively applied to non-state actors while state-led terror is normalised, and even celebrated, throughout the Western.

The true sources of terror in the Middle East are not Hamas, Hezbollah, or Iran, but the systemic violence of the Israeli state, reinforced by US imperialism. It’s the combination of military might, economic dominance, and political manipulation that has perpetuated a cycle of violence and war and prevented any meaningful path to peace. The global community must confront the reality that this conflict is not about defence, but about occupation, expansion, and the unrelenting ambition to control the region.

While global awareness continues to grow, so too does the urgency to demand accountability from the real aggressors – Israel and America along with its allies. The international community must reject the false narrative of “Arab terrorism” and address the ongoing state terror that has devastated millions of lives.

It’s not the Arabs who have been the terrorists, but rather the architects of colonial expansion, supported by American power, that have destabilised the region and inflicted unimaginable suffering on its people.

The U.S. Continues Its Terror Campaign Against Cuba

Since America's criminal imperial foreign policy is fully bipartisan, it makes no difference which party is in office. Only details may occasionally change.

A resident looks at his cell phone during power failure in Havana, Cuba, October 20, 2024. Ramon Espinosa - staff, AP

The ongoing U.S./Israeli genocide has diverted attention away from other crimes. The electricity crisis in Cuba is but one example of how the U.S. determination to dominate has created suffering around the world.

All eyes have quite rightly been on Palestine for the past year. Joe Biden’s maniacal pact with Israel has killed an estimated 200,000 people, and Israel is poised to ethnically cleanse northern Gaza and Lebanon. Their war crimes range from starvation, destruction of hospitals, shooting children in the head, rape and torture, attacking United Nations peacekeeping forces, assassinating Palestinian leaders, and burning hospital patients to death. All the atrocities have been documented, often by the perpetrators themselves, and have been defended vociferously. The genocide is a joint project with the U.S. and has more bipartisan support than any initiative which directly impacts people in this country.

The horror makes it easy to forget that U.S. crimes continue unabated around the world even when we don’t have to look very far to find them. Just 90 miles away from Florida, the people of Cuba are suffering in darkness, denied the ability to access electricity, all because of the damage done by more than 60 years of sanctions which were made worse by a new crime, the State Sponsor of Terror (SSOT) designation.

On January 11, 2021 , with only nine more days in office, the Trump administration added Cuba to the SSOT list. It was strange timing to take an action that could have been carried out at some point during the previous four years. But the Trump team wanted to kill the improvement in relations that began in 2014 when Barack Obama restored diplomatic relations between the two countries. In 2015 he removed Cuba from the SSOT designation and in 2016 traveled there to make an in-person visit. Sanctions were still in place but the thaw in relations was significant, as travel and other restrictions were eased and gave Cuba some degree of breathing room.

Yet despite the fact that the outgoing and supposedly discredited Trump administration made the SSOT designation days away from leaving office, it continues to this day under the Biden administration. SSOT tightens the screws, and makes it nearly impossible for Cuba to conduct financial transactions . As soon as the SSOT designation was made more than 30 financial institutions left Cuba, NGOs and even Cubans living abroad had bank accounts frozen, and nations feared selling Cuba medical equipment for fear of being sanctioned themselves.

Europeans, Australians, and New Zealanders regularly traveled to Cuba but the SSOT designation banned anyone from securing an ESTA visa waiver needed to enter the U.S. if they traveled to Cuba. Tourism was a lifeline for Cuba and the Trump/Biden administration killed off that industry which was an employer of thousands of people and the provider of needed foreign currency.

Now Cuba is suffering after nearly a week of blackouts caused by their antiquated electrical grid. Sanctions prevent Cuba from securing even ordinary supplies such as electrical components  and make it impossible for its grid to function.

It is important to say what this situation means for the Cuban people. Normal activities cannot take place without electricity. Food is spoiled without refrigeration and so are many medicines. Surgery cannot be performed without lights and x-ray machines and dialysis equipment cannot operate either. Streets are dark and dangerous for drivers and pedestrians alike.

Restorations have been intermittent even as hurricane Oscar struck the island. One day most of Havana has power, but the next it may not. The only fix for Cuba’s electricity woes is an end to the SSOT designation and to all sanctions.

The U.S. imposes unilateral coercive measures, sanctions, on one-third of the world’s countries. Cuba, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Eritrea, Iran, Libya, Nicaragua, Russia, Syria, Venezuela, and Zimbabwe, are just some of the nations punished by the supremacy of the U.S. dollar. People in these countries suffer without food, medicine, or even simple materials like lumber or hammers and nails because the U.S. is determined to wage war against them. In Venezuela alone some 40,000 people died as a result of the U.S. sanctions regime of collective punishment, which is a war crime by definition.

Coercive measures are a means of making war without soldiers, bullets, or bombs. They are deadly and secure the primacy that the U.S. seeks. Countries are declared adversaries and punished not because of any wrong doing on their part, but because they somehow run afoul of U.S. foreign policy dictates. In the case of Cuba, its commitment to its socialist revolution presents the threat of a good example. The existence of free education and free health care and a foreign policy that seeks peaceful coexistence so close to the U.S. presents a possibility that the U.S. will not permit, and so the punishing sanctions regime goes on.

The bipartisan nature of the crime against Cuba cannot be overemphasized. We are told that Trump is a political outlier, a fascist who is determined to end democracy. He enacted the SSOT designation less than one week after his supporters marched onto the capitol on January 6 and in the process created enmity that lasts until this day. But there is no true hostility towards Trump in this regard.

Biden’s State Department didn’t bother to review the SSOT designation until 2024, only to conclude that it should continue. United Nations rapporteurs have said it should end. Every year the UN General Assembly votes overwhelmingly to end sanctions altogether, only to be ignored by Trump, Biden, or in all probability whoever may come after them.

The U.S. has perpetrated so much criminality that it is hard to give any of these acts the full attention they deserve. But the consensus to seek regime change in Cuba and to punish the people there has largely been consistent. No one should forget that it was Cuba which sent its army to Angola to fight against South African forces and bring an end to the apartheid system.

The U.S. foreign policy establishment didn’t forget and they punish Cuba to this day. We must not forget either and continue to stand in solidarity with the Cuban people and their human rights to self-determination and self-defense.

Pentagon’s New Plans To Use Lethal Force Against Americans!

Jimmy Dore (10/17/24)

The Posse Comitatus Act, passed by Congress in 1878, bans the United States Armed Forces from being used to enforce domestic policies. Meaning the government can’t deploy the army to suppress protesters or otherwise act as police within the U.S. borders. Except that the Defense Department recently issued a directive that conflicts directly with the Posse Comitus Act and states that the military can and will be deployed domestically to crush internal dissent.

LEAKED:
Military Manual For Policing Homeland Internment Camps For Political Dissidents

[Editor’s Note: FYI, I did some copy editing of the text below and added several subheadlines. — M. Taylor]

By Ray Joseph Cormier (10/17/19)

LEAKED US MILITARY MANUAL FOR POLICING HOMELAND INTERNMENT CAMPS FOR POLITICAL DISSIDENTS

The link above confirms what is now Legally possible in the US as earlier reported in the  link below posted January 11, 2012 on the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act giving the US Military legal authority to grab American citizens out of their homes or off the street, and lock them up indefinitely in some Gitmo-Gulag based on bureaucratic determination that someone has some vague association with terrorism.

There is no phone call to a lawyer. The Writ of Habeus Corpus, or a day in court, to contest the government allegation is removed. Anyone arrested becomes one of the Disappeared.

The following video details the contents of a Department of Defense document entitled “INTERNMENT AND RESETTLEMENT OPERATIONS” or FM 3-39.40. The document is 325 pages long and is signed by JOYCE E. MORROW Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Army. It was created in 2010 however it has just recently [2019] been leaked to the public via the internet and can now be downloaded from multiple sources. In the description below you will find a download link for the document. I encourage you to download it yourself and verify everything that is being said here.

US citizens targeted

The document outlines military procedures for internment and resettlement of civilians and it describes the layout and administration of internment camps. It clearly states on page 38 that it applies within U.S. territory and specifically addresses the detainment of U.S. citizens as is indicated by the identification procedures for new prisoners on page 146, which states that social security numbers are to be recorded alongside their photograph and fingerprints. Included in the list of organizations which may be involved in these internment operations are the Department of Homeland Security, the FEMA, the Department of Defense and the United Nations.

Internment camps for political dissidents in the U.S. aren't a conspiracy theory. The Department of Defense document entitled "INTERNMENT AND RESETTLEMENT OPERATIONS" or FM 3-39.40 proves this beyond a shadow of a doubt.

4-minute video

On page 56 the document outlines the responsibilities of Psychological Operations officers within the camps among which it states that a Psyop officer “Develops and executes indoctrination programs to reduce or remove antagonistic attitudes and Identifies political activists.” On page 281 the document goes into more detail regarding the role Psychological Operations within the camps specifically in regards to pacifying the population and insuring cooperation.

On page 238 it gives the conditions for the use of deadly force in such camps, among the justifications for lethal force it includes to “terminate an active escape attempt”.That point right there should make it clear that these camps are not benevolent disaster relief type facilities.

On page 244 the document calls for the use of snipers during riots to quote “scan a crowd and identify agitators and riot leaders for apprehension and fire lethal rounds if warranted”.

On page 260 it shows the basic layout for a facility focusing on detainment. It is depicted with interrogation areas, tribunal areas and mortuaries. Each detainment facility is designed to hold 4,000 prisoners and they are depicted with multiple levels of barbed wire separating compartments within the facilities with a double barbed wire fence enclosing them and 24 guard towers.

‘Resettlement’…behind barbed wire

On page 261 it depicts the layout for what they call civilian resettlement facilities, which are designed to house 8,000 people. And though it uses the word resettlement, the plans show multiple levels of barbed wire dividing the sections of the facility and double barbed wire fencing on the outside as well as 16 guard towers.

On page 262 the layout for facilities designed for what they call non-compliant prisoners is shown. These camps are designed to hold up to 300 prisoners, they have 3 interrogation centers and are guarded by 13 guard towers.

Now if there is any question whether these plans are active or are just theoretical this should be settled by the fact that the U.S. army has been running ads for job positions in these camps since 2009 and apparently they are still hiring.

http://www.goarmy.com/careers-and-jobs/browse-career-and-job-categories/…

If you look in the description you’ll find all the links you need to verify this information.

It’s important to note here that this document was created in 2010, which was under the Obama administration, and it predates the NDAA of 2012 which authorized military detainment of U.S. citizens. This clearly shows a long term agenda at work.

THEY’VE DONE IT BEFORE: Don’t For A Moment Think They Won’t Gun Citizens Down

Origins OSU (4/27/23)

Just past noon on Monday May 4, 1970, a squadron of Ohio National Guardsmen opened fire at a loose collection of students gathered across an expanse of leafy lawns and campus parking lots at Kent State University in northeastern Ohio.

12-minute video

“Thirteen seconds and sixty-seven rounds later,  one student was dead, three others lay dying. Nine students were wounded, including Dean Kahler, who took a bullet in his spine and never walked again.

“The victim closest to the troops, Joe  Lewis, was more than twenty yards away. His crime? He gave the Guardsmen the finger. The nearest fatality, Jeffrey Miller, was unarmed and nearly 100 yards away. Allison Krause was  unarmed and 343 feet way. William Schroeder, a ROTC member, was nearly 400 feet away, as was  Sandy Scheuer, who was walking to her next class. Clearly, none presented a  threat to the State of Ohio.”
