'Ready to Fight' for Climate, Students Walk Out Over Trump

Students with the youth-led Sunrise Movement walked out of over 30 high schools and universities across the United States on Friday to stand against U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's "extreme agenda" and promote "the fight for climate justice, workers' rights, and democracy."

The protesters carried signs and banners with messages including "This Is a Climate Emergency," "Protect Our Futures," "People Not Profit," "Fuck Trump," "Together We Rise," and "The Dems Failed, The People Won't."

"Students from every corner of the country came together to send a powerful message of solidarity. We won't stand by while Donald Trump's dangerous agenda threatens everything we believe in," said Aster Chau, a 16-year-old from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. "This movement is about hope—hope that when we stand together, we can push our leaders to take bold action. We won't back down. This is our future, and we're taking it back."

Since Trump beat Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday, critics including the Sunrise Movement have called out her party's leadership for failing to adequately prioritize the needs and demands of the working class.

"Millions of people are fed up after living through decades of a rigged economy and corrupt political system," the group said on social media Wednesday. "They are looking for someone to blame. It's critical the Dem Party takes that seriously."

Sunrise said in a Friday statement that the "walkouts represent a call to action for both parties: If Democrats want to win, they need to stop pandering to big donors and corporations and instead focus on the bold policies that will ensure a livable future for all."

The landslide vote for Trump is a rejection of the "Blue wing" of the ruling class—the utterly corrupt and spent Dems— but we must remember that Trump and his closest advisors and many supporters are still very much in the maw of the US imperialist establishment which is, by definition, sociopathic and bipartisan.  In that sense, the students are perfectly right in opposing ANY government that disregards peace, human rights, and the environment.

Manuel Ivan Guerrero, a student at the University of Central Florida, stressed that "today was just the beginning. We're angry and we're scared but we're ready to fight."

"We have the power to win and defeat Donald Trump, but our leaders need to be bold enough to fight for us," the 18-year-old added. "The time for empty promises is over. We are ready to do whatever it takes to win a better world."

Still from Zombieland, Double Tap

The last trick in the arsenal of Democracy™ is Zombie Democracy. This is where your government is dead—people vote it out or can't vote—but it lumbers on anyways, eating brains.

Examples

Take, for example the United States, which decapitated its President on July 20th but can't recapitate until January 20th, because their Constitution is shitty. They're running around like a chicken with its head cut off, except the chicken is a T-Rex and still quite capable of mauling children. Remember what everyone has forgotten. No 'one' is in charge of America right now. First Joe Biden's constitution failed and now they have this Constitutional conundrum. America will be without a functioning President for six months. They've given the game away. It doesn't matter if America has a President at all. American democracy doesn't exist. It's just a reality TV show put on by a megacorporation.

Take, also, France, please. In France, leftists won the general election and the President appointed a right-wing government anyway. Or take Germany (also, away). The governing coalition of whatshisname has fallen apart but continues governing somehow. Or Peru, where they couped and caged an elected President and installed someone with a 90% disapproval rating. Or Pakistan and my own country Sri Lanka (until recently). In all these cases, some shitty, unsustainable, and despised government limps on for years past it expiry date. Ukraine is the fighting flagship of Democracy™ and it's the worst. Zelensky's term expired long ago and he just cancelled elections entirely.

When decent people do have elections, the "liberal democrats" are libeling them. Russia's elections are not real, Venezuela's elections are rigged, Georgia's has been magically interfered with. Then they're rigging elections, like in Moldova where the Russian diaspora was prevented from voting. They scream about saving democracy, but they're the ones making a mockery of it. These democracy grifters are like the wolf who cried wolf. Thankfully, nobody believes them. They get voted out at every fair opportunity. It is only by violently suppressing real democracy that these fake democrats control anything. But their control is slipping.

Illusions

As long as people believed in elections, that was all it took. As Lord Varys said, “Power resides where men believe it resides. No more and no less.” But the ruling elite are increasingly failing to put on even a show democracy. In America, they're just doing reruns and the actors are dying onscreen. In France, the winner doesn't win, in Germany the loser doesn't lose, and none of these make for a convincing show.

Elections were a thin veneer over selections in the first place, but now they're not even trying. The American Democrats skipped their primaries and just installed a candidate. Kamala Harris was the DEI heir to a DNR president and now she's predictably DOA. Now America is stuck with an 81-year-old until they inaugurate a 78-year-old, great. This is real late-stage empire shit. A dying empire led by literally dying men.

China isn't trying to infiltrate America via their air fryers, but if Americans saw the kind of cars they could get for $10,000 under communism, they'd rightly overthrow their government. The sanctions and tariffs aren't to keep the Chinese, Russians, et al out, they're to keep Americans in.

Across the Empire the illusion of Democracy™ is crumbling. Take Ukraine, as America did. Their actual democracy was couped in 2014 and now they have a literal actor playing a part. They fought much of their Russian-speaking population for years and then picked a fight with Russia itself, something no independent country would do because it's stupid. Indeed, Zelensky ran on reconciliation with Russia, but that's not how his handlers ran him. Now Ukraine has lost much of its land, its population, and a corrupt elite has destroyed everything. For what? Ukraine was just a stick for America to poke Russia with, and thrown away, just as carelessly.

Or take 'Israel', where the also antisemitic Western Allies deported the Jews to further their imperial interests (guns near the gas). The 'only democracy in the Middle East' killed, ethnically cleansed, or apartheided the majority population while genociding them slowly with treaties. This is the actual American model for America, with 'Israel' as their franchisee. It's important to understand that most of the countries on a political map are a sham.  America is the head of ye olde White Empire, and Germany, France, 'Israel', 'South Korea', 'the United Kingdom', none of these are real countries. 'Israel' is the unrealest of them all, and that illusion is being violently shaken off.  The Palestinians, certainly, do not believe that power resides in 'Israel' or America, and their bravery has drawn the free world to their side.

Western media talks about how 'democracy is losing all over the world' but what's really happening is the democracy illusion is falling apart.  Liberal democracy was a Trojan Horse we let into our countries, and bankers bust out and ransacked the place. Aristotle said representative democracy trended towards oligarchy and, whaddya know, it does.

If you read Aristotle, there are many species of democracy, he listed dozens of forms across just the Med, each suited to the population. America peddled the audacious illusion that there was one form of democracy, and that it fit neatly into bombs. This is philosophically nonsensical, but politically potent, a modern monotheism for the godless. One ring to rule them all. But this Democracy™ was always an illusion. America was always shit and what it was peddling was always bullshit. Now the stench is simply too much.

Is This Dialectics?

Throughout history, when people elected leaders America didn't like, America just couped or killed them. Chile, Iran, Australia, I'm just going by memory, there's dozens, this is constant. And the leaders you could get were always within the American neoliberal paradigm, otherwise you wouldn't have them (refer point #1). This somehow worked because it didn't touch the imperial core that obviously (besides Australia) and because obvious violations of democracy were covered up with mass marketing about how great Democracy™ was, and they had—as Francis Fukuyama said—the VCRs and microwaves to prove it.

It's important to understand that ideology follows material conditions and vice versa, this is the dependent origination of politics and it's an endless, indivisible loop. “It's the economy stupid,” as some stupid person said. Whatever America was doing, as fucked up as it was, seemed to work. They were rich, and every voter goes into the booth like it's a lottery. Every voter is thinking how their lives can be better, and Americans seemed to have better living through tricknology. Whatever dark sorcery they were doing, whatever Indian graveyards it was built on, Democracy™ seemed to produce refrigerators and color TVs. And so people literally bought into the ideology.

But now material conditions have changed and they're trying to keep the same ideology. People are encouraged to defend a Democracy™ which makes their lives measurably more shit because 'look at these other measurements', which average you and Jeff Bezos and call it win. Meanwhile, other system of democracy (yes!) like China and Russia produce much more popular leaders and much better results which are relentlessly covered up with marketing that makes less and less sense. America today is sanctioning more countries to prevent their people from experiencing and learning about other possible systems, not for national security. China isn't trying to infiltrate America via their air fryers, but if Americans saw the kind of cars they could get for $10,000 under communism, they'd rightly overthrow their government. The sanctions and tariffs aren't to keep the Chinese, Russians, et al out, they're to keep Americans in.

The End Of The End Of History

Remember that America never stopped attacking the world after World War II. They suppressed countless liberation movements (which were all socialist or communistic, you never had the Capitalist Peoples Front of anything). They couped, corrupted, and cajoled nations into parking the Trojan Horse of Democracy™ in their town squares. The fundamental productive incapacity of capitalism since the 1980s has been covered up with money-printing, unmoored from the gold standard or any standards, really.

Politically, the fundamental oligarchic character of representative democracy (sic) was covered up with puppets that looked like humans, despite having the invisible hand up all their butts. This insane marketing campaign worked as long as it delivered material results, but now it doesn't, and they have to hold on to power by force. This straining makes the invisible hand visible, and ruins the whole charade. Our corporate lords are able to cause many tragedies yes, but they are a farce. They look like morons who can't even rig an election properly, let alone win one.

Thus you get the final (inshallah) stage of Democracy™, Zombie Democracy. Where elections become increasingly stupid, where the genocides and coups aren't even covered up, and where the pretenders don't even pretend to pretend anymore. It's what William S. Burroughs called Naked Lunch, when you see what's on the end of every fork. The paint has come off the pantomime, liberal democracy's pants are down in front of the whole world, and they're not packing much.

The world doesn’t work as we pretend or imagine it does. Too often, we are led to believe it is a structured, ordered system defined by clear rules and patterns. This is the meme at the crux of the Rules Order narrative. The economy, apparently, runs on supply-and-demand curves. Politics is a science. Human beliefs can be charted, plotted, graphed – and by using the right regression and enough data, understand even the most baffling elements of the human condition. This is a stripped-down, storybook version of reality.
Brian Klaas. 3

Even in its death throes, Western mass media uphold the Official Narrative, while a new world is struggling to be born.

America is leading the West in a death spiral. Its greatest entrepreneur, Elon Musk, is a Western media punching bag1, once-mighty Boeing and Intel are bankrupt, its economies are in recession2 and its foreign policy is decided by Israel. 4 No Western leader, and neither American Presidential candidate is fit to run a business, let alone a country whose economy is collapsing as its debt reaches Weimar Republic levels.

Marginal returns are declining across many spheres of Western society. America can no longer build roads, subways or ships, nor manufacture anything competitively. Food, shelter, cars, trains, education, cinema and politicians all cost more and yield less. Though the Pentagon’s budget is 60% higher today than in 1975, the Air Force has 5,000 fewer aircraft and the Navy, which had 559 active ships then, has 296 today–fewer than 55 of which are combat-capable. (200 of China’s 362 newer ships are combat capable and Russia’s fleet is much more powerfully armed).

After a string of losses dating from their 1951 loss to China in Korea, the West is losing two more wars simultaneously. Ukraine destroyed the credibility of Western armaments and embargoes.

done, the US will know what to expect for its military bases throughout the Middle East. The American public will also, potentially, start to ponder the implications of taking on Iran militarily”. Like Ukraine’s Jewish led Nazis, Israel’s Jews have lost on all fronts and lied to their own people and the world about their losing.

China and Russia have never been so powerful, prosperous, united, or well led. Despite sanctions and embargoes, China’s economy will grow more this year, by $1.6 Tn., than in all but three years in its history. Russia’s economy moved up from sixth to fourth in the world while it was humiliating its enemies. Their joint founding of the SCO defense alliance and the BRICS cooperation platform–much more extensive than our media let on, and the subject of tomorrow’s post–have changed the world’s trajectory.

Let the wild rumpus begin...

1 Media attack Musk’s political views and advocacy for free speech, business practices and labor issues, public statements and social media presence, cultural and ideological differences, regulatory and legal battles and frequent criticism of media bias which exemplify tensions between traditional media and direct communication via social media.
2 Interstate freight is down 20% YoY, adjusted job growth is near zero and tech sector layoffs will hit 250,000 this year.

3. Editor's Note: Klaas is basically an Atlanticist/Libertarian and pro-Imperialist bourgeois social scientist, and a proponent of chaos theory which we only marginally buy, as it seeks to displace a Marxian understanding of human affairs.

4. We disagree with this proposition. In our view, the US overwhelmingly controls the course of history in the Middle East, and the image of Israel leading the dog by the tail is merely a convenient fiction to hide the degree of American criminality in the region's affairs

The End Of White Air Supremacy

USAf's F-22 "stealth fighter". Such hardware is not impressing the Axis of Resistance any longer, despite the fact they can wreak horrific destruction on defenceless populations.

A
merica has lost white air supremacy. They bet the farm on stealth fighters and they're a long way from Kansas now. Cheap drones and accurate rockets have made a mockery of western air defense and offense. This is a real sea change in air warfare. We are now in the age of unmanned missiles, not manned fighter jets, and America has missed the boat entirely.

Planes Vs. Missiles

As an illustration, look at the image above. On one hand, 'Israel' has to send $100 million dollar jets to drop million dollar bombs, and worry about getting their planes home in one piece. On the other hand, Iran can fire waves of drones, cheap missiles, and highly accurate missiles, turning the Iron Dome into the Iron Sieve. Both sides have air defenses, but Iran only has to defend against 100 bogeys, compared to the thousands hitting 'Israel'. Meanwhile 'Israel' has to park its planes somewhere as sitting ducks, while Iran can hide its missiles underground until they're needed. This is a complete game changer. The rules of air warfare have changed.

The big paradigm shift is from planes to missiles. This is part of the global trend of putting microchips in everything. Bombs are really smart now, and drones are really cheap. Rockets are basically consumer technology, evolving rapidly, while American aircraft are like Faberge eggs, ordered decades in advance and extremely delicate. America's latest airframe (the F-35) is nearly 20 years old and is somehow expected to be relevant till 2070. It's irrelevant already. The F-35 is a liability more than an asset, except to American arms dealers, who have orders booked for 50 years. America won't even be around by then, inshallah, and this strategic inflexibility (re: corruption) is a big reason.

On the other hand, Hamas and Iran and Yemen and Hezbollah come out with new missiles every year (every time America martyrs someone, they name the next missile after them). Iran has hypersonic missiles (which fly unstoppably fast, low, and funny), Yemen fired the first rocket through space, Hezbollah has drones that hit Netanyahu's bedroom window, and Hamas has rockets that can hit Tel Aviv. The Resistance made a strategic bet on rocket and tunnel technology 30 years ago and it's playing out now. America made a corresponding bet on jets and avarice and now les jeux sonts faits. The strategic decisions leading to this war happened in the 1980s and neither side is changing. As Lenin didn't say, there are years when decades happen, and these are those years indeed.

American aircraft are like Faberge eggs, ordered decades in advance and extremely delicate.

I'm reminded of the moment, which I may be making up, when the Chinese met the Mongols. The Chinese had been perfecting and fetishizing a highly ritualized form of archery, more ballet than battle, splitting silk with perfectly shot arrows. Then the Mongols rode in and just shot the hell out of them. Like the Mongols—who shot from horseback and disappeared—the Resistance can shoot from trucks and be gone in an instant. Like the Mongols, the Resistance does one thing really well (hit targets) and it does it often. The past 30 years have been a quantum leap in 'archery', and the latest decrepit empire is just not built for it.

Manned Vs. Unmanned

Last century—which might as well be the days of air knights—manned aircraft dominated the skies. These air knights operated out of castles (aircraft carriers, airbases) and could bomb any weaker castle, though they spent most of their time slaughtering peasantry. They could even make themselves invisible, such was their sorcery. This sounds like a distant fairy tale because it is.

Now the days of air knights are gone, these are the days of air shaheed (martyrs). Missiles and drones can rise from their earth and exact vengeance kamikaze style. These are not human soldiers, they don't have to make a two-way trip. Air defenses can stop some of these missiles, but they can't stop swarms of them, which can be produced quite cheaply. Iran and Hezbollah have used these missiles in layered attacks (sometimes spanning months), first drawing air defense missiles with dogshit, then hitting air defence batteries, then unloading the good stuff on precise targets. Some of these missiles—like hypersonics and drones—are functionally invisible to Cold War era defense systems. And planes can't do shit about it. Expensive, elaborate air knights are no match for air shaheed.

$ Vs. $$$$

Another big problem is cost, the $$$ markers in the infographic. For every incoming missile—which could be a $20,000 drone—air defense systems must fire at least two interceptors missiles, which range from $100,000 to multi-millions each. And these missiles are produced in tiny, bespoke quantities, sometimes just 10 or 12 a year. America can print money but they can't print missiles, they've deindustrialized so much they'd need China's help to bomb China.

The US has frequently threatened China with its attack carrier force, but carriers are now sitting ducks to modern missiles. Extravagantly expensive to build and operate, and with armaments similarly exhorbitant in price, they are now obsolete to project "persuasive force" as the Houthis have already demonstrated.

The stealthy jets America bet the farm on in the 1980s are cool, but built for another war. Stealth fighters not that stealthy, and are completely vulnerable on the ground. As former US General Frank McKenzie said, “the thousands of short-range missiles that Iran possesses are a factor here. There is no strategic depth. An F-35 is very hard to hit in the air. On the ground it is nothing more than a very expensive and vulnerable chunk of metal sitting in the sun. America's whole defensive strategy is based on expensive air defense systems, but these are overwhelmed by cheap missiles and can't even defend themselves anymore. America's rapidly depreciating military assets have become liabilities now.

The End Of Supremacy

America's strategic problems go deeper than missiles vs. planes. The bigger problem is that America is an invading army. The Resistance are fighting for their homes, while the Americans are 11,000 km from Kansas. The Resistance does not need an air force because it's their turf. They can literally dig in and follow Sun Tzu's dictum, “To excel at defense means hiding oneself away in the deepest recesses of the earth. To excel at offense means striking from the highest reaches of the heavens.” The combination of unmanned missiles and tunnels is a complete blind spot to the US military, and they're too big and corrupt to change course.

America has a military base in Bahrain, but that's too close to Iran and Gen McKenzie recommended retreat. But retreat to where? 'Israel' requires daily arms deliveries from America, it's just another liability, not an asset. The IOF are just delivery boys for American munitions, like Uber for genocide, and they're wasting them on civilians. So this is how white air supremacy ends. Choking on its own cruelty and arrogance, taking hundreds of thousands of innocent souls with them, with the threat of global irradiation upon us all.

For decades America and the greater White Empire had white air supremacy and used it with such violent prolificacy. They imposed no-fly zones wherever they wanted, and rained death from above whenever they felt like it, which was often. America's whole strategy was based on the manned plane model, and unmanned technology has upended it all since October 7th. As Professor John Mearsheimer said in an interview with an absolute moron,

What I'm telling you, is the conventional wisdom in the West, that 'Israel' is on a roll, that 'Israel' is in the driver's seat, is simply wrong. If you look at what's happening in Gaza, if you look at what's happening with regards to Hezbollah, and Iran, 'Israel' is in trouble. And I want to point out here, that the key variable is the coming of sophisticated missiles and rockets. When I was very young and used to study the 'Israeli'/Arab conflicts, what we focused on in those days was army to army and air-to-air engagements. And the 'Israelis' invariably defeated the Arab armies, whether you're talking about '48, '56, '67, '73, those big wars. And it looked, up until October 7th, like the 'Israelis' were really in the driver's seat. That they faced no serious threat. Then October 7th happened and what became manifestly apparent to all sorts of people, including me, was that there was this really wicked rocket and missile threat against 'Israel' that 'Israel' had no way of dealing with.

Mearsheimer is talking about a tectonic shift in military technology. The age of the manned plane is out and the age of the unmanned missile is in. This is like the discovery of the longbow or gunpowder or diesel. It makes an entire generation and tradition of warfare obsolete. This is not to say that fighter jets will disappear (horses were used well into World War II), but the idea of humans flying planes is becoming as archaic as horse cavalry. America is completely lost in this brave new world, and its enemies have leapfrogged them technologically. White Empire may look like it's fought to a tactical draw (still good for bombing refugees), but for a superpower, this is strategic defeat.
