The absence of democracy and hypocrisy throughout the collective West is more than obvious now, as the populations in these countries have not been consulted about an escalation toward WW3, which they would naturally not approve.

Note that there have been uses of Storm Shadows, Scalps and perhaps ATACMS, especially against Crimea and other parts of the Novorussiya battlefields in the past. But we have been led of late by the US Secretary of State, Tony Blinken, and the UK Foreign Secretary, David Lammy to expect something far more extensive. This is in response to long-standing requests from Ukraine [a puppet state micromanaged by the US]for such permission. Nobody serious believes that Ukraine is capable of using these machines without the considerable support and participation of the NATO powers themselves.

Western politicians, in the service of invisible oligarchs, are pushing for a catastrophic war for no conceivable good reason. A massively disinformed public is unable to respond to this manufactured threat.

Not until after my interview with Barrett (see above) did I get the chance to listen to a conversation between Judge Napolitano, Ray McGovern and Larry Johnson, from which I understand that both John Kirby for the State Department and the office of UK prime minister Keither Starmer had indicated before Starmer’s visit yesterday to the White House to meet US President Biden had said that there would be no formal announcement that same day. Kirby had even said that the White House was listening carefully and taking seriously the statement of Russian President Putin on Thursday in which Putin told the West that any decision that would allow Ukraine to use these long-range missiles would be regarded by Russia as direct involvement by NATO in a war against Russia and that Russia would respond.

The tone in today’s New York Times is far more cautious than of late, indicating that Washington and London are stepping back from the brink - at least, for now:

“…the president remains deeply fearful of setting off a dangerous, wider conflict…But the decision now facing Mr. Biden after Friday’s closed-door meeting at the White House… could be far more consequential than previous concessions by the president that delivered largely defensive weapons to Ukraine during the past two and a half years…Mr. Biden has hesitated to allow Ukraine to use arms provided by the United States in the same way over fears that President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia would see it as a major escalation.

“John F. Kirby, the national security spokesman at the White House, said Friday that the Biden administration takes Mr. Putin’s threats seriously because he has proved himself capable of “aggression” and “escalation.” But Mr. Kirby added that there had been no change in Mr. Biden’s opposition to letting Ukraine use U.S. missiles to strike deep inside Russia.

“There is no change to our view on the provision of long-range strike capabilities for Ukraine to use inside Russia, and I wouldn’t expect any sort of major announcement in that regard coming out of the discussions, certainly not from our side,” he said.

“The second American concern is a practical one: Pentagon officials do not believe Ukraine has enough of the ATACMS, the British Storm Shadow and the French SCALP missiles to make a strategic difference on the battlefield. The reach of the missiles, they note, is well known — and Russia has already moved its most valuable aircraft beyond the range the missiles can fly.

“Moreover, the U.S. officials say, they simply cannot supply many more to Ukraine. The Pentagon has warned that it must keep a healthy reserve of weapons in case of an outbreak of fighting in either Europe or Asia. And the missiles are so expensive that they contend Ukraine could get more firepower putting that money into drones”.

Well, that did not take long. Two days ago, leaks to the British media indicated that the UK was going to approve Ukraine’s request to hurl Storm Shadow missiles farther into Russia. Congressman McCaul also let it be known that the Biden Administration was going to jump on board and approve the use ATACMS and JASSM missiles inside Russian territory. That was then. Today, following Putin’s warning yesterday that any such strikes would be viewed as an attack on Russia by NATO and would result in retaliation, the press was informed that the US and the Brits were not going to give Zelensky what he wants. Looks like some sanity has returned to the NATO decision makers.

Before we deal with the threat of nuclear war, the Counter Currents channel just posted my interview with Matt Hoh. If you have watched the Judge or Nima or Daniel Davis, you already know a little about Matt. He served in the US Marine Corps and then transitioned to the State Department. My chat with Matt focused on digging into the details of his life with the Marine Corps, his activities in Iraq and then his jump to State Department. Most Foreign Service Officers (FSO) enter the State Department after taking the storied FSO exam and then jumping through a bunch of hoops where you are interviewed by current FSOs, which means they tend to select people like themselves.

Matt escaped this nonsense. There is a program that allows active-duty military personnel — officers — to become a FSO. Matt, not surprisingly, is not your typical State Department type. He is grounded in integrity and not afraid to speak his mind. Those qualities served him well and, because he was deeply troubled by the lies being told to the US citizens about what was happening in Afghanistan, he resigned his position and became a whistleblower. Now, back to the festering turds of Ukraine and Israel. I did my scheduled chats with Nima and Judge Napolitano, and I discussed the apparent reversal of NATO in telling Ukraine’s Zelensky, no. The situation in Ukraine is worsening and Zelensky is acting with more desperation. I think Vladimir Putin is content to let the military operation continue without striking targets outside of Poland as long as the West does not give Ukraine the intel coordinates required to launch a strike. Russia is winning and Ukraine is losing.

As I mentioned to the Judge, the prank call by Vovan and Lexus, two lovable Russian rascals, who pretended to be Petro Poroshenko, produced some major truth bombs from Radoslaw Sikorski. In public, Sikorski is a rabid neo-con hell-bent on war. Based on this conversation, he is a lot of bluster but not insane. He admits that NATO in general, and Poland in specific, have no intent of going to war with Russia. Please watch the entire conversation. Vovan and Lexus may merit the Nobel prize for this piece.

The West Is all bluff and bluster, and testing their limits like a two-year-old. Bottom line is they know how deficient they are in military supplies and talent compared to the Russians, so it’s not surprising that they would back down at the last minute. Of course, the dishonest media is claiming that “Putin threatened war,” so Biden will claim that he’s just doing the sane thing and saving Western civilization.

The U.S. empire fears confrontation with Iran, and this fear is frustrating its operations in all areas

That Iran has been able to gain so much deterrence power over the U.S. empire and the Zionist entity, to the point where it feels comfortable waiting many weeks to retaliate for this July’s Zionist provocations, shows the role which Iran has within the third world war. Iran is a buffer against imperial aggressions; a force that the hegemon fears confrontation with, because it’s shown itself capable of overwhelming Washington. And this fact exposes a weakness within the imperialists, one we can take advantage of.

It’s always been obvious that trying to overthrow Iran’s government the same way Washington overthrew Hussein wouldn’t work, since Iran’s mountainous geography makes a ground invasion completely impractical. And with the shift towards multipolarity, Iran has risen to economic prominence, giving it too much stability for Washington’s color revolution attempts to be effective. Additionally, Iran’s rise has put it in place to threaten the U.S. with economic doom should full war break out, making Washington at risk of experiencing the same crises it subjects others to through its sanctions. Over the last two decades, Iran has also indirectly gained much more military power, since its anti-Zionist resistance partner Hezbollah has become an immensely strong armed force.

Because of how many advantages Iran and the other Axis of Resistance members have gotten, when the Ukraine war started Washington was not looking to provoke Iran in the same way it had just provoked Russia. And it still isn’t looking to do this. It wasn’t until the Palestinian resistance carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, and the Zionist project became threatened, that the imperialists felt a need to put more focus into southwest Asia. Which has put them at risk of getting the war they fear most.

The fear that Iran is making the “Israeli” settler state feel by waiting to respond, wherein Iran has been able to exacerbate the economic crisis within “Israel” and undermine public security confidence, is also being felt by the broader imperial structure. All Iran needs to do is present Washington with the prospect of having to handle a new strike against “Israel,” and it can render the empire paralyzed. Iran is making the hegemon far less confident in its war plans for Korea, Taiwan, Eastern Europe, and elsewhere, because the hegemon knows that if it makes a move in these places now then it will be overwhelmed when Iran acts. This is the gift that Iran is giving to the world: it’s providing us with more time to prepare for the next phase in the anti-imperialist struggle. The phase where Washington carries out its next big maneuver, and tries to throw much of the globe into chaos.

Within Korea’s U.S.-occupied southern half, the ones who oppose the empire are making themselves heard through networks like the World Anti-Imperialist Platform. The struggle for sovereignty and stability continues within Libya. Sudan’s anti-imperialist movement is resisting the USA, and the genocidal local proxy leaders the USA has been backing. The Palestinians have in essence already won, because the anti-colonial struggle has accelerated the Zionist entity’s collapse. Here in the empire’s heart, where our government is now putting the Uhuru Black communists on trial for exercising their freedom of speech, a movement to defend them has emerged. And the traction that the Uhuru case has been getting in alternative media represents an opportunity to bring more of the masses into the revolutionary struggle. We within the global resistance towards U.S. hegemony are indeed taking advantage of this moment.

The U.S. empire is bringing itself closer towards a war that it knows would backfire massively, but that it feels pressured into making ever more likely. Our enemy is uncertain on the question of how to handle Iran, and fearful of the things the future might bring. We must exploit this vulnerability.

Republicans called Obama a communist, when all his worst actions as president were continuations and expansions of Bush’s policies. Democrats called Trump a Nazi when his worst acts were continuations and expansions of Obama’s policies. Now we’re back to calling Harris a communist, while she supports a genocide that Republicans also support.

Calling Kamala Harris a communist isn’t wrong because it degrades Harris, it’s wrong because it degrades communism.

The Biden-Harris administration is knowingly helping the Israeli government wage a campaign of extermination in Gaza that has shocked and horrified the entire world, so obviously the real villain we need to focus on here is Jill Stein.

No serious person believes a bunch of socialists and peaceniks are going to vote for a capitalist warmongering party. Democrats don’t bitch about the Green Party because of lost votes, they do it because they hate being reminded that their party’s a lie and their values are fake.

Democrats saying the Green Party steals their votes makes as much sense as Republicans saying the Green Party steals their votes. The Democratic Party is not a left wing party. It’s a warmongering capitalist party that is presently engaged in genocide and nuclear brinkmanship.

“If Trump becomes president the genocide will be way worse!”

Oh yeah, how so?

“It’ll be the BAD kind of genocide!”

Does anyone actually believe Harris would win if she committed to an arms embargo on Israel? Or is that just something people are pretending to believe to draw attention to the plight of the Palestinians? Because I think the system is plainly much more corrupt than this.

If Harris pledged to stop sending weapons to Israel unless it ended its assault on Gaza, you’d see the entire pro-Israel faction and the entire military-industrial complex throw all its funding and all its narrative control into supporting Donald Trump. Wealthy donors who’d been lifelong Democrats would pivot Republican for this election. It would suddenly become a mainstream narrative that Harris hates Jews and loves terrorists. A large segment of the mass media would play along. Op-eds would be churned out by liberal Zionist Jews claiming they must now “reluctantly” vote Trump because Kamala Harris wants to kill them.

Does anyone honestly believe Harris could win an election in an information environment like that? Maybe she could, but it would be a lot harder than just continuing to toe the imperial line like she always has. Obviously a lot of people would switch to supporting Harris if she pledged an arms embargo, but would there be enough of them to compensate for all the voters she’d lose in a hysterical all-consuming information op claiming that she’s a closet Nazi? It wasn’t enough when this was done to Jeremy Corbyn.

Harris is a monster, and she’d happily strangle every Palestinian child to death with her own bare hands if it would win her the presidency. But she’s not the problem. She’s just one person. She’s just playing the tune and dancing the dance you need to in order to win a presidential election in the United States. If it wasn’t her it’d be some other monster playing the same tune and dancing the same dance. The real problem is a profoundly corrupt system which promotes the most evil agendas on earth and elevates the very worst people in society to positions of power and influence to ensure the facilitation of those agendas.

Harris isn’t the cause of Washington’s depravity, she’s a symptom of it, just like Trump, and just like Biden. Really the problem is the US empire itself, and all the corrupt mechanisms that keep its gears turning. The slaughter will continue, in one form or another, until the imperial machine is brought down.

FYI it’s not okay to be a grown adult in September 2024 and still believe Israel’s actions in Gaza have had anything to do with trying to rescue hostages.

Meanwhile things keep getting scarier and scarier in Ukraine. Reuters reports that the US is “close” to agreeing to give the Ukrainian military long-range missiles to strike deep inside Russia, at the same time Russia says that it will be altering its nuclear doctrine in response to western aggressions.

The more land and troops Ukraine loses the more eager Kyiv and Washington get to escalate to previously unthinkable levels against a nuclear superpower.

We’re seeing free speech eroded in the west as authorities suppress critics of the genocide in Gaza, just as we saw a huge spike in censorship with the NATO proxy war in Ukraine. They say these wars are to protect the west and its values, while ruining the west and its values in order to protect their ability to manufacture consent for these wars. War, genocide and tyranny are the west’s real values.

All art is political. It either opposes the madness of the status quo, supports it, or distracts from it. Creating vapid diversions for people to sedate themselves with in a genocidal brainwashed dystopia on a dying world is a political act, whether you call it political or not.

An artist who says they “avoid politics” while living in the heart of a murderous tyrannical empire is lying. They don’t avoid politics. They are directly participating in politics. And they are participating on the wrong side.

All art either helps open people’s eyes or helps close them. Almost all art in mainstream culture helps close them — either by normalizing and celebrating the madness of this civilization, or by numbing people to the discomfort of it. This is not just political, it’s on the front line of politics.

Politics are downstream from culture, and if the culture you are helping to create is mindlessly drifting along with the current of oligarchy and empire, then you have responsibility for where that stream ends up carrying us.
