PATRICE GREANVILLE—The CIA Democrats pretended to be or got so unhinged over the election of Donald Trump that they promptly normalised a culture of paranoid commentary that continues to permeate many media platforms. As is standard operating procedure for almost all media figures, we bet that some of the histrionics are cold-blooded career calculations, sheer hypocrisy (think Maddow here), although in some instances, like Olbermann’s, we may be dealing with something far more severe. The Biden administration’s lofty rhetoric is meant to distinguish the new administration from the previous Trump White House and its “America First” mantra. President Biden and his aides are trying to project a seeming return to multilateralism as opposed to Trump’s in-your-face nationalism. And so we hear a lot about the U.S. vowing to uphold the rules-based order. The difference is merely rhetorical. The consistent reality is that the United States and its Western allies are seeking to pursue a unilateral approach to international relations. The Biden administration is just a little more adept compared with Team Trump at public relations and media spin to cover this reality of American hegemonic ambitions. Lest we forget, hegemonic ambitions are anathema to a democratic world order based on equality among nations and universal respect for international law.

CAITLIN JOHNSTONE—The emergence of the internet was met with hope and enthusiasm by people who understood that the plutocrat-controlled mainstream media were manipulating public opinion to manufacture consent for the status quo. The democratization of information-sharing was going to give rise to a public consciousness that is emancipated from the domination of plutocratic narrative control, thereby opening up the possibility of revolutionary change to our society’s corrupt systems.

I would like to add certain (inside) information. Yesterday evening, I received certain (inside) information from influential leaders in the Axis of Resistance that the decision of a direct confrontation has been taken. Open confrontation is around the corner, and unless Washington succeeds in deterring Israel from further escalation, the Israeli interior will be ‘openly’ targeted. (In other words,) the party behind the targeting will be known. Official statements will be issued saying: ‘we are the ones who bombarded you’. We are on the brink of a war. This is nothing short of that.
Even the Resistance (Axis) (as a whole) now considers itself fully concerned. I mean Iran is now in confrontation and is defending itself. This is true. However, there are accumulating scores (that haven’t been settled) and (this current period offers) the resistance forces a golden opportunity as Israel is preoccupied by the confrontation with Iran.
