US/ISRAEL SLAUGHTER OF CHILDREN: Over 20,000 Children Missing In Gaza, With 'Unknown Number' In Mass Graves: Report

Powerful documentary "The Night Won't End" reveals the brutally perverse, grotesque reality of US/Israel campaign of genocidal terror and war crimes.

DeMOCKracy.ink (6/25/24)

To be honest, this is one of the toughest posts I have put up to SubStack. Every child killed, every toddler with a limb ripped off, every grade schooler buried beneath the ruins and every orphaned child in Gaza and the West Bank is a direct victim of the ZioNazi Israeli government and its funder and timid little cuck: The United States.

Our tax dollars fund it, thus…

WE are killing these children.

Our grotesque corporate war industry, venal uniparty government and the criminals in the White House, Congress, State and War departments and the corporate press have made — and continue to make — it all possible. As citizens, we have a duty to witness what is happening and to speak out and resist our psychopathic criminal government in whatever way we can and — at some point — hold them accountable.

While Israel and the United States ZioNazi governments are acting as World War II Germany, we cannot play the enabling role the majority of German citizens played then. To do so is cowardly and condemns our souls.

"No parent should have to dig through rubble or mass graves to try and find their child's body. No child should be alone, unprotected in a war zone. No child should be detained or held hostage.”

By Jake Johnson
Common Dreams (6/24/24)

The humanitarian group Save the Children estimated Monday that around 21,000 kids are missing in the Gaza Strip as Israel's military continues its assault on the enclave, reducing much of the Palestinian territory to rubble.

Roughly 4,000 kids are likely buried under that debris, according to Save the Children, while at least 17,000 are unaccompanied, an "unknown number" are in mass graves, and others have been "detained and forcibly transferred out of Gaza, their whereabouts unknown to their families amidst reports of ill-treatment and torture."

A child protection specialist with Save the Children said that the group finds more unaccompanied children every day in Gaza, where parents and entire families have been wiped out by Israel's relentless bombing campaign and ground invasion.

"We work through partners to identify separated and unaccompanied children and trace their families, but there are no safe facilities for them—there is no safe place in Gaza," said the Save the Children specialist. "Besides, reuniting them with family members is difficult when ongoing hostilities restrict our access to communities, and constantly force families to move."

"Neighbors and extended family members who have taken in lone children are struggling to meet their basic needs, such as shelter, food, and water," they added. "Many are with strangers—or completely alone—increasing the risk of violence, abuse exploitation, and neglect."

"We desperately need a cease-fire to find and support the missing children who have survived, and to prevent more families from being destroyed."

More than 14,000 children have been killed by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip since October 7, and many others have experienced devastating psychological and physical trauma, including the loss of limbs. Dozens of children have also been starved to deathin recent months as Israel's blockade hinders the flow of lifesaving humanitarian assistance.

Conditions for children have further deteriorated since Israel's invasion of Rafah, which has forced roughly a million people to flee the city. Last month, Israeli forces used U.S.-made bombs in an attack on a Rafah camp sheltering displaced people, killing dozens—including women and children. The United Nations Human Rights Office said that infants were "torn apart" in the attack and people were "trapped inside burning plastic tents, leading to a horrific casualty toll."

Vast graveyard for children

Save the Children stressed Monday that its count of Gaza's missing kids is far from conclusive, given the difficulty of collecting accurate information in areas under near-constant attack. The group noted that "confirming identification of a body by the next of kin is almost impossible when whole families have been wiped out and entry restrictions mean the equipment and experts needed cannot get in."

Jeremy Stoner, Save the Children's regional director for the Middle East, said that "families are tortured by the uncertainty of the whereabouts of their loved ones."

"No parent should have to dig through rubble or mass graves to try and find their child's body. No child should be alone, unprotected in a war zone. No child should be detained or held hostage," said Stoner. "Children who are missing but living are vulnerable, face grave protection risks, and must be found. They must be protected and reunited with their families. For the children who have been killed, their deaths must be formally marked, their families informed, burial rites respected, and accountability sought."

"As many have pointed out, Gaza has become a graveyard for children, with thousands of others missing, their fates unknown," he added. "There must be an independent investigation and those responsible must be held accountable. We desperately need a cease-fire to find and support the missing children who have survived, and to prevent more families from being destroyed."

Al Jazeera Documentary "The Night Won't End" Investigates Civilian Deaths In Gaza & U.S. Complicity

“There’s no question that U.S. weapons have killed civilians in Gaza. This violates both international humanitarian law and domestic law.”

Democracy Now! (6/23/24)

"The Night Won’t End," a new documentary from Al Jazeera English, takes an in-depth look at attacks on civilians by the Israeli military in Gaza and the United States’ role in the war. The film follows three Palestinian families as they recount the horrific experiences they have endured under relentless Israeli assault, including the family of 6-year-old Hind Rajab, the young Palestinian girl who made headlines when it emerged in January that she had been trapped in a car with family members killed by Israeli ground troops, and the Salem family, who first lost dozens of family members in an Israeli airstrike and then additional family members who were executed by Israeli soldiers.

We play clips from the documentary and speak to journalists Kavitha Chekuru and Sharif Abdel Kouddous, the director and correspondent on "The Night Won’t End," respectively. We also discuss the plight of journalists in Gaza and U.S. complicity in Israel’s war.

“There’s no question that U.S. weapons have killed civilians in Gaza,” says Kouddous. “This violates both international humanitarian law and domestic law.”

The Murder Of Hind Rajab: Analysis Finds Israeli Tank Fired 335 Bullets Into Car At Close Range

"It's not plausible that the shooter could not have seen that the car was occupied by civilians, including children," an investigation of the five-year-old Palestinian girl's death found.

By Edward Carver
Common Dream (6/22/24)

An Israeli tank or tanks likely fired the bullets that killed five-year-old Palestinian Hind Rajab and six relatives as they sat in a car in northern Gaza in January, according to an analysis released Friday that adds to evidence of the Israeli military's role in an indiscriminate killing which galvanized anti-war protests around the world earlier this year.

A tank had to have been positioned between 13 and 23 meters from the family car when it fired the shots that killed Layan Hamada, Hind Rajab's 15-year-old cousin, and it's "not plausible that the shooter could not have seen that the car was occupied by civilians, including children," wrote the authors of the analysis, which was completed by U.K. research agency Forensic Architecture, based at Goldsmiths, University of London, with Earshot, an NGO, and Al Jazeera journalists.

The investigators found 335 bullet holes on the body of the Kia Picanto the family was using.

An Israeli tank also likely killed the two Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) paramedics who came to the scene, the analysis found. The new analysis refutes Israel's contention that its forces were not responsible for the killings, which caused an international outcry.

On January 29, seven extended family members including the young Rajab tried to flee Gaza City by car. Rajab remained alive for at least three hours after the other six had been killed, and was on the phone with the PRCS, pleading for help. "I'm so scared, please come," she said, according toThe Guardian.

Hamada, the 15 year old, had herself been on the phone with the PRCS when she was killed. A released audio recording of her final moments, in which she explains that a tank is next to the car and shooting at them, went viral.

The bodies of the seven family members and two paramedics, whose vehicle was attacked nearby, were found 12 days later, on February 10.

Clearly sociopaths

The new analysis broadly fits with findings of an in-depth investigation of the family's killing conducted by The Washington Post in April, adding new details and strengthening the case that Israeli forces were culpable. Following the new release, Medhi Hasan, editor-in-chief of Zeteo News, argued that those who continue to support the killing of Palestinian children are sociopaths.

Columbia student protesters honored Rajab by naming an occupied academic building "Hind's Hall" in late April. Rajab was generally reported as having been six years old at the time of her death, but The Guardian issued a correction in May stating that she had been just five years old.

A Poem: ‘RUBBLE’

-Why was I born in the rubble,

Did I do something wrong, get into trouble?
Will I end my life under the rubble’s weight,
Living in this hazy, suffocating state?
Please don't silence my voice or condemn my plea,
For talking of rubble and seeking your empathy.

Resistance to know no bounds if Lebanon attacked: Sayyed Nasrallah

"The battle on the Lebanese front has played a very significant role, causing material, moral, and psychological losses to the enemy," he stressed during the memorial service for Hezbollah senior leader Hajj Taleb Abdullah and his companions, who were martyred days earlier in an Israeli strike in southern Lebanon.

He questioned the portrayal of events on the southern front, suggesting that the intensity of Israeli responses indicates a more serious situation. "If what is happening on the southern front was a routine matter, then why these strenuous efforts to stop it, and why all the screams, intimidation, wailing, and threats?" he asked.

Sayyed Nasrallah also mentioned the potential for further escalation, noting, "The possibility of invading al-Jalil remains on the table should the confrontation escalate."

Addressing Israeli casualties, the Resistance leader accused the Israeli occupation of concealing its losses in the north. "The enemy hides its losses on the northern front but could not conceal the number of those who have evacuated settlements," he asserted.

He criticized the global media's portrayal of the war, saying, "Since the beginning of Operation al-Aqsa Flood, there has been a global media machine whose mission is to belittle the actions of the support fronts and the resistance in Gaza."

Sayyed Nasrallah reiterated that the Israeli occupation was deliberately hiding its losses in the north to avoid further pressure. He provided specific figures on evacuations, stressing that "42 settlements have been completely evacuated, and life has been disrupted in several others."

Moreover, he stated that the Israeli military and security image was deteriorating. "The deterrent military-security image of the enemy is collapsing in front of its people, its society, and the world," he concluded.

Increasing losses

"They failed to protect Israeli ships, which is a huge failure for the two most important naval fleets in the world, primarily the American fleet," the Hezbollah chief stressed.

Sayyed Nasrallah drew two conclusions from the Yemeni front: "First, the American-British failure, and second, the Israeli inability to fight on that front."

He criticized the Israeli occupation's pursuit of false victories, stating, "The enemy is panting after a false and fabricated victory that has no basis in reality, just to present it to its audience as a victory."

The Hezbollah chief highlighted significant losses inflicted on the Israeli occupation by Gaza and the West Bank, as well as from Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq.

"The enemy understood since October 8 that its positions would be targeted and that we have enough information about them, their fortifications, their equipment, and their numbers," he said. "We are continuing to strike enemy positions within a certain and specific schedule," he declared.

Sayyed Nasrallah detailed the Resistance's strategy to "blind" and "deafen" the Israeli occupation. "The resistance followed a strategy of blinding the enemy and deafening its ears by targeting technical equipment, radars, balloons, and more," he explained.

Operation hoopoe

"We have a very, very, very large amount of information, and yesterday's release is selected from many hours over Haifa," he stressed about the Military Media of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah releasing Tuesday footage showing its reconnaissance drones flying over swathes of occupied Palestinian land, including Kiryat Shmona, Nahariya, Safad, Karmiel, Afula, all the way to Haifa and its port.

Rafael MIC in Israel

In detail, the video first shows Hezbollah's drones flying over a military-industrial complex belonging to Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, which includes numerous factories, warehouses, and testing fields in which components of air defense systems are manufactured and assembled, especially the Iron Dome and David's Sling.

Iron Dome and David's Sling platforms, rocket engine test tunnel and storage, air defense missile storage, missile component manufacturing facilities, control and guidance systems factories, company administrative buildings, and missile testing radars, all appeared in the video.

"We have long hours of footage of Haifa and its surroundings, covering what is north of Haifa, what is beyond Haifa, and what is beyond, beyond Haifa," Sayyed Nasrallah said.

Sayyed Nasrallah also underlined that the Resistance yielded unprecedented manpower.

He addressed the Israeli occupation's actions in Syria, claiming their failure. "The enemy conducted a battle amidst war in Syria and was met with failure. Everything that was supposed to reach Lebanon has arrived," he noted.

Hezbollah well-equiped

"The enemy knows well that we have prepared ourselves for the worst days and knows what awaits it, which is why it has been deterred for the past 8-9 months," Sayyed Nasrallah said. He emphasized that no location within occupied Palestine was safe from Hezbollah's missiles and drones. "The enemy knows that there will be no place safe from our missiles and drones, and [our attacks] will not consist of random bombing."

Nasrallah claimed that Hezbollah possessed a comprehensive and real target bank with the capability to reach all targets, destabilizing the foundation of the Israeli occupation. He also warned that "the enemy knows that what awaits it in the Mediterranean Sea is also very significant."

"The enemy knows it must expect us on land, in the air, and at sea, and if war is imposed, the resistance will fight without constraints, rules, or limits," he declared.

In a stark statement, he warned the Cypriot government about allowing its airports and bases to be used by the Israeli occupation. "The Cypriot government should be warned that opening its airports and bases to the enemy to target Lebanon means it has become part of the war."

Sayyed Nasrallah described the ongoing confrontation as the greatest battle since 1948 with a clear and bright horizon that will change the face of the region and shape its future.

He concluded by reaffirming Hezbollah's steadfastness and readiness to engage in this historic battle until victory. "We affirm the solidity of our position and our readiness to continue this historic, humanitarian, and moral stance until victory," he concluded.

Macron just threw a live grenade at his own feet

The French president could be on the verge of regime-changing himself, with his establishment party’s support below that of the opposition

Macron just threw a live grenade at his own feet.

The latest French national polls show a final face off between the anti-establishment right and left, and the total decimation of President Emmanuel Macron’s Renaissance party. Looks like he may have fooled himself into thinking that dumping all over the political chessboard was a big-brained three-dimensional move.

In the wake of the anti-establishment National Rally party winning the European elections by a landslide, with more than double the score of Macron’s party, the usual suspects started chewing up the scenery with riots and unrest. All the National Rally needs to do is film it to create a campaign ad for themselves heading into the French national elections that Macron called in a double-or-nothing bet with the French people. Because Macron did that. And it’s the National Rally that has long campaigned on the promise of putting an end to it.

It finally looks like enough French voters aren’t scared into denying Le Pen’s party the opportunity. The far-right label just doesn’t act as the kind of knee-jerk deterrent that it once did. And why should it? “France is on the brink of all-out civil conflict,” headlined Britain’s Telegraph. That has happened under Macron, not Le Pen, as he rammed through his establishment agenda piece by piece with his designated prime minister invoking Article 49.3 of the French Constitution to ram through legislation without a vote at least 23 times, totally overriding the democratic process – the second most since the Fifth Republic began in 1958. Its use to move the goalposts on retirees and make them work longer when France is a global taxation champion that robs them of hard earned cash their entire working lives, under the pretext of getting it back when they retire, would explain why the majority of retirees who voted massively for Macron no longer tell pollsters that they will. His support has dropped to just 28%, according to the latest Ifop poll.

‘Our Europe could die,’ Macron says. Who’s the killer?

Read more ‘Our Europe could die,’ Macron says. Who’s the killer?

According to Le Monde, Macron said of his snap election call: “I’ve been preparing this for weeks, and I’m thrilled. I threw my unpinned grenade at their legs. Now we’ll see how they manage.” Looks like they’re managing just fine, actually. Macron’s party? Not so much.

The Russian Armed Forces destroyed a warehouse of Western equipment received by Kiev

Photo by the Russian Ministry of Defense

Russian troops destroyed a Ukrainian strike drone assembly workshop and a Ukrainian Armed Forces warehouse, from where weapons transferred from the West were distributed. During the day, the enemy lost more than 1,800 militants and seven armored vehicles in the Northern Military District zone, according to data from the Russian Ministry of Defense. [Daily losses of the Ukraine forces invariably hover around 2000 killed and wounded, and there are precious few men left to recruit from. BTW, “recruiting” nowadays means kidnapping hapless men off the streets. Normal people are in an anti-government mood these days and many support Russia but not because they are necessarily sympathetic to Russia. They just mainly hate dictator Zelensky]

Aviation, drones, missilemen and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces destroyed a radar station and two launchers of the S-300 air defense system, destroyed a workshop for the production of attack UAVs and a warehouse of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, from where weapons and military equipment transferred by Western countries were distributed. During the day, air defense systems shot down 24 drones and one Neptune-MD long-range guided missile.

The North [Sever] group of troops successfully repulsed two counterattacks of enemy assault groups and eliminated up to 130 militants, two armored combat vehicles, including a US-made Stryker armored personnel carrier, near Volchansk, Volokhovsky, Sinelnikovo and Liptsy in the Kharkov region.

The “West” [Zapad] group occupied more advantageous positions and repelled four counterattacks of enemy assault groups in the area of Novovodyanoy in the LPR, Peschany in the Kharkov region and Torskoye in the DPR. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 455 military personnel.

The “southern” [Yug] group of the Russian Armed Forces improved the situation along the front line and destroyed up to 665 Ukrainian militants, two armored fighting vehicles, including the US-made M113 armored personnel carrier, and a field ammunition depot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Grigorovka, Katerynivka, Predtechino and Serebryanka in the DPR.

The “Center” group of troops also improved its tactical position and successfully repulsed four counterattacks of enemy assault groups near Vozdvizhenka, Kamyshevka, Novgorod and Toretsk in the DPR. Enemy losses amounted to 355 military personnel, two US-made MaxxPro armored fighting vehicles.

The Vostok [East] group occupied more advantageous positions and eliminated up to 155 Ukrainian military personnel, an armored combat vehicle, and an electronic warfare station "Enklav-N" in the Zaliznichny area of the Zaporozhye region, Dobrovolya, Neskuchny and Oktyabr in the DPR.

The Dnepr group of troops destroyed up to 80 Ukrainian Armed Forces military personnel near Daryevka, Osokorovka in the Kherson region and Nesteryanka in the Zaporozhye region.

America and Israel are pushing to ignite the region!!

Netanyahu and Blinken

It seems that the United States of America and the interim entity [Israel] continuing their aggression against the Gaza Strip will lead to igniting the region, intentionally or unintentionally, and this is confirmed by much of the data and statements that occurred during the past days.

Netanyahu and his government, on the one hand, insist on rejecting any cessation of the war, because this would constitute a clear admission of defeat. As for the American administration, which really wants - for electoral interests only - to stop the war, it does not want this to lead to Israel’s defeat to the axis of resistance. In the face of this American-Israeli stagnation, the resistance axis found that escalating the pace of the war of attrition might force the opposing camp to submit, or at least fortify the negotiating position of the Palestinian resistance. In the face of this decision of the Axis of Resistance, Israel has no choice but to also escalate its attacks, and this is what may push matters further, towards slipping into what Tel Aviv and Washington fear, that is, the ignition of the entire region starting from southern Lebanon.

Bagheri warns

In this context, it was noteworthy that the Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic [of Iran], Ali Bagheri Kani, recently warned during a press conference with his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein, in Baghdad, when he said that the Zionist entity, due to its failure in Gaza, may seek to make other mistakes and even expand the scope of its aggression. Stressing that "the genocide in Gaza must stop unconditionally," he called on the Americans to stop supporting Israel with weapons, and that they cannot "support Israel with weapons, pretend to be for peace, and launch initiatives." [This is a clue as to what is wrong with US politics. The government must push one narrative for its public but roughly the opposite one for its allies, ie, the true bosses that drive its true policies, eg, via AIPAC. The net result is a weak government that does nothing for America and that Americans don’t trust]

Minister Bagheri pointed out that Operation True Promise [the Iranian campaign cooperating with the various resistance fronts around the ME] confirmed that “the Islamic Republic will use all its capabilities to achieve stability, peace and security in the region and will not allow anyone, especially the aggressor Zionist entity, to undermine the stability and security of the region.” Therefore, this is a hint that Iran will not stand idly by in the face of any Israeli foolishness, such as waging war on Lebanon or escalating its attacks in other arenas. [Iran can send almost any kind of defensive or offensive weapon to Hezbollah for the defense of Lebanon]

The US administration's efforts are a path to deadly escalation [This analysis gives us a little peep behind the scenes showing why the US Israel-loyal foreign-controlled government is forced to keep the war machine running full tilt. We the voters have zero control over this, but the outcome is determined by the opponents, which are generally stronger than the West and more democratic in that they are in sync with the people. They use force, the only language of the elites]

On the other hand, many analysts and political experts believe that the US administration’s efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza are a path to a deadly escalation in the West Asia region. And despite its public calls for an end to the war, all Washington is actually doing is encouraging a bigger conflagration, because it is causing more violence in Gaza and threatening to turn it into a war with Lebanon, thus pushing the entire region into the abyss in order to avoid giving up its “unreserved support” for Israel.

Here it must be recalled that the Hamas movement’s response to the speech delivered by Joe Biden on May 31, in which he presented an “Israeli proposal” [it was not an Israeli proposal at all. This was a lie aimed at placating the masses, making them think Israel was for peace when it never was] for a ceasefire, was to view it “positively,” while insisting that it requires an Israeli withdrawal from war-torn Gaza and a ceasefire. Full of war, in order to agree to any proposal. On the other hand, Benjamin Netanyahu remained committed to his previous speeches about the need to “destroy Hamas,” [read: continue the genocide in a transparent pretense of fighting Hamas] while indicating that he would not agree to a ceasefire. Rather, he went further when he confirmed that Biden’s description of the Israeli ceasefire proposal “is not accurate.” This brings back memories of the atmosphere that prevailed before the occupation army began its operation in Rafah.

Will the American administration accept the failure of its efforts for the second time instead of forcing Israel to cease fire, or is the expansion of the war inevitable?!

Our thanks to CA for this tip – an excerpt from a book by Chris Hedges. BTW, the philosophical evolution described below matches my own.

Excerpt:

Most of my life was spent living a lie, and I lived my life for that lie. A lie that I bought into, lock, stock and barrel, during the 80's and 90's, when I was working 70 hours a week (which I did for at least 20 years).

I graduated from university in 1982, the Reagan years, and I was a true believer in "Reaganomics," and the "trickle-down" theory, in which wealth is diverted to the already wealthy who will use it to create new production facilities, creating new jobs. They would "invest" that windfall income, alright ... just not in the U.S. of A. That's supply-side economics and, in theory, I believe, it works well ... the notion that all of us, collectively, each of us acting solely in our own self-interest, create a "rising tide that lifts all boats." I was almost religious in that belief during the Eighties and Nineties. Greed is good. I, like so many other Americans during those years, abandoned the notion that "we are all in this together" and adopted the "every man for himself, and you are on your own" way of thinking: "You have not, because you strive not."

And young people (not just in America) are beginning to get a sense of the reality: they are being ruthlessly exploited in an ever-increasingly socially stratified (feudalistic) society.

Our financial system was taken hostage and looted by bankers, brokers, and speculators who told us that the old means of making capital by producing and manufacturing were outdated. They assured us money could be made out of money. They insisted that financial markets could be self-regulating. Like all financial markets throughout history that have thrown off oversight and regulation, ours has collapsed. Speculators in the seventeenth century were hanged. Today they receive billions in taxpayer dollars and huge bonuses.

Excerpt from: Chris Hedges, Empire of Illusion (Pub. 2010)

America's wealth is systematically being transferred from the lower and middle classes into the pockets of the rich. And that is not by accident.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Hedges' critique stops short of actually denouncing capitalism as a system that, in any incarnation—industrial (manufacturing) or financial speculative—remains inherently exploitative, crisis-prone, deeply inegalitarian, incurably hierarchic, undemocratic and ultimately organically unstable and fascistic (due to its incurable "overproduction" disease.

The U.S. power structure is blindly dedicated to Israel

When the board of the Columbia Law Review clumsily censored a pro-Palestinian article it revealed the degree to which pro-Israel ideology is enmeshed in the U.S. power structure. Luckily, a generational shift is changing this before our eyes.

.

We used to call people like this the ruling class. These high appointees understand what American values are, and today American values are standing by Israel even as it massacres thousands of children. These values surely have to do with the importance of Zionist donors to Joe Biden and universities, but they go beyond that to the makeup of the U.S. establishment. Pro-Israel voices — including Jewish Zionists — are a significant element of corporate culture. They are a generational force. Young progressives and young Jews are rejecting Israel. But they aren’t in the power structure.

[Unfortunately, the author ignores the elephant in the room, ie, the hordes of “Christian” Zionist church leaders who do the heavy lifting propaganda work that underpins the machinations of the ruling class. Thus, one of the most dangerous men in America is the fundamentalist fanatic Gordon Robertson]

One of the most telling stories about the establishment came and went last November. Two dozen leading law firms sent a letter to the leading law schools, including Harvard and Columbia, saying that they would not hire students from law schools that failed to crack down on antisemitism. And one of those firms, Davis Polk, rescinded job offers to three students who had taken part in pro-Palestinian protests. The letter said:

“We look to you to ensure your students who hope to join our firms after graduation are prepared to be an active part of workplace communities that have zero tolerance policies for any form of discrimination or harassment, much less the kind that has been taking place on some law school campuses.”

Our thanks to Regis Tremblay for this:

On June 11th, 2024, we attended an amazing concert by the National Academic Orchestra of Folk Instruments of Russia named after N.P. Osipov.

We attended this concert along with a packed audience in the Chekhov Theater here in Yalta. The Moscow based group comes to Yalta once a year and we were fortunate to get tickets.

We were spellbound by the two-hour concert that featured operatas, soloist musicians, and a dramatic reading of Alexander Pushkin’s short story, The Blizzard.

Me:

It is interesting that this theater is dedicated to Russian playwright Anton Chekhov. The writer spent a few years living at his dacha in Yalta. One of his best known short stories is Dama s sobachkoy, the Lady with a dog, which is set in Yalta and whose characters all have Russian names and are mostly tourists from Russia. When I visited Yalta in the early 70s, I must confess I did not know I was in Ukraine, Everyone there spoke Russian, It is now impossible for me to think of Crimea as anything but Russian, and I personally think it would be a crime to try and separate the peninsula from the Motherland. Yalta is as Russian as Chekhov and it is a crime for the ignorant, uncultured Neocons in Washington to insist that it must revert back to Ukraine where it never belonged. Just my two cents.

A nightmare in Nuseirat

Looking out my window, I saw vast numbers of people fleeing. Israeli military tanks were approaching Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

The scene felt wearily familiar. I have witnessed previous horrors.

Israel’s extreme violence had caused me to leave Gaza City for Nuseirat during the early stages of the current genocide.

I was desperate to make contact with my husband when the 8 June invasion began.

He was working in a clinic run by the UN agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA). The clinic is located in the heart of the Nuseirat camp.

Frantically, I dialed his number. No reply.

My husband did make it home safely later that day. His testimony of what occurred was frightening.

He spoke about how the sounds of chatter and business that normally fill Nuseirat’s streets were replaced with cries of pain.

He spoke about a general sense of panic.

He spoke about how “bodies littered the streets and the injured struggled to find help.”

Nedaa al-Tahrawi was at home in Nuseirat when she heard gunfire piercing the air.

Her family quickly assembled in one room after hearing her brother shout that the camp was being invaded.

“The situation was terrifying,” Nedaa said. “Before long, there was a deafening explosion that shook the ground itself.”

The family tried to flee their home. But there was a huge crater outside which meant they could not escape.

“In a matter of minutes, our house and neighboring houses were reduced to rubble,” Nedaa said. “We were trapped in a nightmare.”

Nedaa’s brother was among the very many people injured during the massacre.

More than 270 Palestinians were killed. Yet that fact was completely overlooked by Joe Biden, the US president, who welcomed the attack on Nuseirat as it invovled the rescue of four Israeli captives.

Zainab al-Jamal was injured in the attack, which killed her father, her brother and his wife.

In a Facebook post, Zainab wrote about how Israel’s soldiers stormed into her home and opened fire.

Zainab and some other members of her family managed to hide under a bed and somehow evaded detection.

When the gunfire eventually halted, Zainab emerged from beneath the bed to find her father’s dead body.

Zainab wrote of closing “my eyes in pain, trying to shield the children from noticing, as we evacuated the house before it collapsed on us.”

Hezbollah’s Quarterly Report

Hezbollah's Quarterly Report

Hezbollah publishes what I call a 'quarterly report'. It's like the jihadi earnings call. The topline numbers (as of June) are that they have conducted 2,125 military operations (total), inflicted 2,000+ casualties on the IOF, and decolonized land 35 km deep into occupied Palestine, unsettling over 230,000 settlers. It's been another bad quarter of genocide from the IOF, and a good quarter of war from the Resistance.

Hezbollah Radwan commando. More than a match for any IDF soldier.

'Israelis' are well aware of this, despite massive wartime censorship. They can see the hills burning themselves, the settlers are deeply unsettled.Yesterday alone, 30 attack drones and 150 rockets targeted 15 military sites in occupied Palestine. Residents of 'New Galilee' have threatened to secede unless the government does something about it. Mainstream ministers like Smotrich and Ben-Gvir are calling to attack Lebanon now, to put an end to it, but the generals know better.

While 'Israel' has been pre-occupied with a genocide in the south, they have lost the north. As I discussed earlier, Hezbollah has been systematically eye-poking the cyclops and, now, half the time the sirens don't even go off. Hezbollah can fire at will and the Iron Dome is broken. 'Israel's' border points have been dismantled and they're completely open to ground invasion. 'Israel's' problems compound every day the attrition goes on, and it's been nine months of daily attacks now. 'Israel' can certainly bomb Lebanon whenever they want, but now Hezbollah can bomb 'Israel' whenever they want. The strategic calculus has been rocked.

You can see this from the raw numbers in the quarterly report:

The Raw Numbers

Here's all the data compared to the last 'quarterly report,' and not in Arabic. Also note that when I say Q1 or Q4 I'm approximating, I think they use the Arabic calendar. If you read this like a bloodless business report, it's fascinating what the changes from Q4 to Q1 tell you. Lots of growth in key verticals, while certain SKUs are less popular.

The low-growth areas are actually the most interesting. For example, Hezbollah is attacking relatively fewer border points (only up 14%) and using less sniper and machine guns (+6%). This tells you that Hezbollah is no longer engaging the IOF at close range, because the IOF has retreated further away. The IOF has largely abandoned the physical border, so there's simply less to shoot at. 'Israel' has retreated 35 km back. You can see this from the numbers also, because Hezbollah is using more long-range munitions, to hit them deeper and deeper in the rear.

What this means, strategically, is that 'Israel' is now completely open to ground attack. The Radwan Force can run for 35 km before 'Israel' even sees or can engage them. What Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said in an October 2023 speech has come to fruition.

What has taken place since October 8th is unprecedented, that all the Israeli positions from the sea to the heights of Shebaa Farms and (inaudible) [are reeling] under daily intensified offensive operations, targeting these posts and what's in between: tanks, armoured vehicles, drones, clusters of personnel, and above all, technical installations which are the eyes and ears of Israel.

Hezbollah has been hitting the old border for nine months and it simply doesn't exist anymore, there's a new border, and 'Israel' is getting closer and closer to being wiped off the map, inshallah. Strategically, this 'softening up' means that Hezbollah can march in anytime they want. And they have a small army dedicated to doing just that. The Radwan Force was formed for the explicit purpose of taking Galilee. Since the commander Hajj Radwan was assassinated in 2006, his very angry reincarnation has been training, planning, and preparing for this moment. Now 'Israel' has to ask itself the Dirty Harry question, “Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?”

Below: Indian channel HT report on Hezbollah capabilities.  This was published in January (2024), but it already predicts an all-out conflict between Hezbollah and Israel.

A full-blown war between Israel and Hezbollah is brewing amid growing tensions. The Lebanese group has released video of its Radwan fighters in action near the border. The video shows a sniper unit of Radwan Force carrying out a mock operation. Israeli military experts suspect Hezbollah might be planning a big attack like the one carried out by Hamas on October 7.

I'll repeat because it's important. As of June 2024, Hezbollah can penetrate up to 35 km deep without A) running into many 'Israeli' soldiers and B) being 'seen' by 'Israeli' commanders. 'Israel' will certainly massacre citizens in southern Lebanon, but they'll lost northern 'Israel'. This changes the balance of the power in the region. The line of contact has physically moved into 'Israel', which has never really happened.

!function(r,u,m,b,l,e){r._Rumble=b,r[b]||(r[b]=function(){(r[b]._=r[b]._||[]).push(arguments);if(r[b]._.length==1){l=u.createElement(m),e=u.getElementsByTagName(m)[0],l.async=1,l.src="https://rumble.com/embedJS/uukz21"+(arguments[1].video?'.'+arguments[1].video:'')+"/?url="+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+"&args="+encodeURIComponent(JSON.stringify([].slice.apply(arguments))),e.parentNode.insertBefore(l,e)}})}(window, document, "script", "Rumble");

Rumble("play", {"video":"v4zh8qo","div":"rumble_v4zh8qo"});

ABOVE: A Hezbollah-produced video showing the Radwan unit in action. Seems like the imperial system has sabotaged the soundtrack. If so, the images and captions still tell the story.

You can also see that the line of contact has moved from the numbers alone. Both long-distance drone attacks and attacks on command centers are up 82%. Hezbollah is able to target deeper into occupied Palestine, and hit formerly well-protected targets. The Iron Dome is the Iron Sieve now, and 'Israel' is looking like 'macaroni in a pot,' as Cardi B said. For days at a time, the settlements are literally on fire. 'Israel' can't cover it up.

Hell, the Iron Dome can't even protect itself anymore, attacks on platforms are up 50%. The line of contact is moving further and further south, from 20 km deep in April to 35 km in June (+52%). Now Hezbollah is able to hit military factories (3 total), destroy military airships (2), and shoot down expensive drones (7). They're even able to make 'Israeli' fighter jets turn around and flee. 'Israel' no longer has air supremacy at all. There's a new king in the north, and he's a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad (what Sayyed means).

Analysis

What you can see in this quarterly report is that Hezbollah has a long-term plan and they've made investments accordingly. Hezbollah has been preparing to invade 'Israel' since 2006, when it seemed like a pipe dream. But they invested and now it pays off. Hezbollah had a detailed plan to disable 'Israel's' eyes and ears and border outposts first, and immediately after October 7th, they put it in action. And they have a plan for each step on the escalation ladder, leading to liberation in full.

Hezbollah bunker with a DShK heavy-machine gun. Food and water supplies can last 2 months or longer.

Hezbollah Toophan ATGM (tank killer). Hezbollah now also had a good supply of Russian-made Kornets, one of the best anti-tank weapons around.

Hezbollah has graduated to the use of drones and UAVs.

'Israel' has no response to this, and also no capacity, since they're a bit tied up with genocide right now. Whenever 'Israel' idly assassinates a commander—like Hajj Abu Taleb this week—they get hit literally 100 times harder. Whenever they bomb a village, they raise another battalion for the Resistance. After decades of trying to beat these people into submission, the people remain resistant, and 'Israel' just gets weaker and weaker. And so the historical abomination 'Israel' is slowly being pushed into the distance. 35 km of Palestine is that much closer to liberation.
