KORYBKO—Unlike Russia which respects every society and state’s UN-enshrined sovereign right to manage their affairs however they deem fit, the US and its vassals don’t acknowledge this selfsame right and instead seek to impose their own models upon everyone else for ideological and self-interested reasons. Their implied intent to carry out a so-called “civilizing mission” is bigoted, colonialist, fascist, hegemonic, and imperialist, which is why it’s rejected by all self-respecting states and societies.

The progressive diminishing of the size and combat efficiency of the VSU (Ukrainian armed) forces who non-stop try to probe, with disastrous for them losses, Russian defenses along the whole front line is just one of the indicators of a dramatic decline of the force as a whole. Having said all that–it doesn’t mean that there will be no major fighting around Kherson. VSU and its handlers from Pentagon and NATO understand the huge importance of the Russian bridgehead on the right bank of Dnieper, so they MUST attack before Russian reserves in the area are fully accumulated for the drive towards Nikolaev and Odessa.

FRED REED—Where does water come from in New York? I don’t know, but it doesn’t flow spontaneously to the thirtieth floor. It needs to be pumped, which involves electricity, from wherever it comes from to wherever it has to go. No electricity, no pump. No pump, no water. And no flushing of toilets. River water could be drunk, of course. Think of the crowds.

ANDREI MARTYANOV—What Macgregor describes here is incompetence. It is not a bug but a feature of which I write non-stop for a decade, at least. They ARE that ignorant, they ARE that stupid, and, yes, they ARE that incompetent and a massive body of empirical evidence supports these assertions. But that is what defines a systemic crisis. Read the whole piece, it is worth it, not to mention the fact that I applaud Macgregor’s description of Kissinger’s “strategy” in Vietnam–a recurring story for Washington. And Macgregor concludes it with what I warned for 8 years now, when stated in late 2014-early 2015 that the US has sustained a massive defeat.
