EAB—Presently Russia is hammering the crap out of Ukraine, lobbing 3 times more missiles into Ukraine daily than Ukraine can muster (20,000 vs 7,000 according to Colonel Doug MacGregor). “Most missiles launched by Ukraine are ground to air anti-missile missiles” (many are outdated S-300s, one which supposedly went “astray” into Poland, killing two civilians). The OUN also continue to shell the Russian occupied Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, even while insisting that the Russians are shelling themselves.

MIKE WHITNEY—There it is in black and white. The plan to use Ukraine as a staging-ground for conducting a proxy-war on Russia preceded the invasion by at least 7 years. The Obama administration and their neocon allies set a trap for Russia in order to drag them into an Afghanistan-like quagmire that would deplete their resources and kill as many Russian servicemen as possible.

LARRY C. JOHNSON—Do you think that Europe can sustain its current policy of continuing to fund Ukraine? Compounding the daunting challenge is the success of Russian missile strikes in destroying Ukraine’s ability to continue to supply electricity to its major cities. The lack of power means that water cannot be pumped to the upper stories of the condos/apartments that dominate the Ukrainian cities. It also means those apartments will not have heat. With no water, no lights and no heat those civilians will have to abandon their homes. Normal life is no longer feasible.

DEBORAH ARMSTRONG—CSIS confirms that “S-300 missiles are intended to shoot down aircraft, drones and incoming cruise and ballistic missiles. Full S-300 launchers include detection radars that track incoming targets. Missiles are equipped with guidance systems to automatically latch on to targets. Several individual missiles can be fired simultaneously at multiple targets.” Scott Ritter added in his reply to me, that not only did the missile come from Ukraine, but “Moreover, US intelligence capabilities can track all missiles from point of launch to impact.”
