Netflix is now carrying a mockumentary purporting to showcase the heroism of Ukraine's 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, which is led by the infamous neo-Nazi Andriy Biletsky. The film's director has said the fake documentary will be privately screened for the Pentagon and US Senate.

While the East continues to strengthen their ties, US empire vassals actually boast of their abject vassalage as seen in smoothly produced cringeworthy propaganda pieces circulating on social media, with Ukrainians celebrating the 4th of July, and Kosovars shamelessly licking the boot of the Empire by impersonating Americans and doing line dancing. Unfortunately, this kind of foolishness has awful consequences, as the Ukrainian nation is demonstrating. 

The panel also examines the Assange case, including a persistent cloud of accusations describing Assange as a spy or a limited hangout working for the CIA; or an operative working for or against the Russians or Chinese, or as a tool for or against the Republicans or Democrats. All that is nonsense says guest Alex Suarez, who claims authoritative knowledge of Assange. The activist, says Suarez, was not a tool of the Russians, nor was he a shady player helping the Trump campaign. (Trump actually persecuted Assange and, to deny the tsunami of Russiagate accusations, acted even more vicious toward Russia than Obama), If anything, says Suarez, Assange despises the US party duopoly, is feared by both capitalist parties, and probably would have gladly voted for Jill Stein had he been a US citizen.

 

As usual, this is a discussion with many rich insights and opinions of interest to genuine progressives, so we strongly recommend it to our audience.

While most of the collective West's leaders are tumbling from power, Vladimir Putin is undeniably stronger than ever, notes Garland Nixon jocularly, attributing such course of events to the dreaded "Zelensky curse", afflicting all leaders that once vociferously proclaimed their desire to topple the president of Russia.

As Spengler, writing for Asia Times noted today,

What collective curse has befallen the leaders of the West such that all of their voters have come to despise them by enormous margins?

The damage to the world’s political class is breathtaking.

Garland also explores the implications of what Joe Biden said during the debate, that Russia had to be defeated in Ukraine because otherwise Moscow would not stop there and roll all over Europe.  That is a filthy lie as Moscow has no intention or interest in conquering Europe, unless supremely provoked.  But, assuming Moscow did what Biden is saying, that would trigger a unified response by the West, signifying World War 3. However this is a war that the Western bloc would not win either, and facing defeat, would attack Russia with all its nuclear weapons. At that point, NATO would not only attack Russia, but China and North Korea as well—all members of a mutual defense alliance. Moscow's response, by necessity of its military doctrine that prescribes the use of nuclear weapons should the Russian state be threateed, would be an all out launch of its nuclear arsenal, and THAT would mean the end of the world, as we know it. That is why what Biden said in that debate is either the most dangerous lie of all, or the most dangerous truth in our time. Either way, if humanity is to survive, a regime change in Washington, or a drastic change of course in "the collective West" is absolutely necessary.

6/28/2024 Episode 91 of Blowback: Exposing Imperial Decline with special guest Greg Rosen. With Biden in an advanced stage of obvious mental disintegration, some images conveying the impression he's practically an assisted mummy, many people wondered whether Biden could survive a few minutes on his own, let alone a 90-minute debate without mumbling himself incoherently into oblivion. His clear inability to govern properly and authentically—that is, to play the role of a presidential chief executive— is raising eyebrows in some sectors of the population, even allowing for the fact that most US presidents are mere tools, from the moment they are picked by invisible oligarchic kingmakers, to execute the policies dictated by these powerful unelected interests. All of which points to insider rot of major proportions.  The answer came early in the event when Biden began to show signs of disorientation and incoherence. Although Biden didn't literally fall apart in front of the cameras, his sharp decline was impossible to deny. Billy Bob argued that the Democrats anticipated the disaster and perhaps even promoted it, and that many insiders who practically yesterday were still protesting Biden's ability to run for another term, after the debate quickly changed the tune and started talking the urgent need to find a replacement. Ian Kummer thinks that a swap is probably unlikely, that Biden's performance was not as awful as many are claiming, and that we'll get Biden as long as he doesn't drop dead in the interim.  

 

Besides the vanishing Biden, Trump added his own touch by his opportunistic (and thinly veiled) xenophobic tirades against immigrants, using all the available dog whistles he imagines the MAGA crowd responds to. Trump probably scored some points with his vicious anti-immigrant rhetoric, as many lowly paid Americans fear the threat of an influx of even lower-paid workers, courtesy of the Democrats' "open borders" posture. Ben Toth decried the fact that US politicians are accustomed to scapegoating foreign workers, without ever accepting the causative role played by US foreign policy in ruining and destabilising their homelands. Probing the cause of major social problems is not something the US political system is geared nor willing to do. 

In sum, the debate faithfully mirrored the extreme political decomposition of the United States as it flops around in its late imperial stage exhibiting appallingly incompetent  leadership and rotten policies at home and abroad throughout its network of vassal states. The main question right now is whether humanity can survive the fall of US imperialism without an economic political implosion of enormous gravity, or, worse, a cataclysmic nuclear war.

Scott Ritter: Biden's PROVOCATION Forced Russia To Bring Nuclear Missiles to Caribbean

Scott Ritter reminds Americans that the US and its allies are now on the brink of a highly probable (and totally avoidable) nuclear war with Russia, as the US, after dismantling all crucial nuclear weapons accords with Moscow that guaranteed mutually assured destruction (and thereby kept the peace through a balance of terror), continues to seek first- strike nuclear capability, a reckless and criminal idea that almost guarantees a nuclear Armageddon.

Scott wonders aloud how we could come to this point, surely a huge failure of democracy  (in that regard Scott still talks as if we had a genuine Constitutional democracy in the US, or still have it, which is a civics textbook ideal, but not a reality in America for at least 175 years.  Ritter details the absolutely reckless path currently followed by the US: we are attacking Russia's early warning radars against a sudden Western attack; we keep taunting the Russians by flying nuclear bombers toward Russia's most sensitive strategic centers, aborting the attack only a minute before crossing the line of no return; we've been tickling the Russian bear for a long time, and it's only through the patience and wisdom of Russian leaders that we have avoided a nuclear war, notes Scott. "The greatest threat to American security is American nuclear policy," says Ritter. "We have a gun pointed at our head."

 

These videos are lessons in cautionary history, serious warnings that we should heed, as the consequences of being mistaken are simply the end of the living world as we know it. And that's no hyperbole.
