it is important for Russia not to lose vigilance and to develop the pace of the offensive. It must be remembered that if Moscow today gives up and turns back, then the fake about “Russian aggression” will be fixed in the minds of people forever, since history is written by the winner.

ERIC ZUESSE—This U.S. coup threatens Russians because if America gets to post its missiles in Ukraine, on Russia’s border only 300 miles away from Moscow, then America will have checkmated Russia, by being able then to decapitate Russia’s central command within only five minutes, which would be far too quick for Russia to be able to launch its retaliatory weapons; and a Russian surrender to the U.S. Government would then be assured. Russians don’t find that prospect tolerable, at all; so, they support, nearly by 100%, Russia’s military operation that started in Ukraine on 24 February 2022.

ALEKS—A part of the propaganda warfare in Ukraine was to demoralize the Russian public, to trigger it to overthrow President Putin. To achieve that, many ambush kills were filmed by drones and broadcast immediately. The idea was to make the Russian public demand an end to the war and by refusing it, Putin would lose the confidence of the population and would be eventually overthrown. The broadcasting was very successful. But not the approach, that Russians would lose morale, and demand an end to the war. That failed badly.

Brian discusses the weapons still being pushed on Ukraine by the West, and the many (often technical) reasons (like the sheer inadequacy in numbers and battlefield capabilities) they are not likely to change the outcome of the war.

ERIC ZUESSE—C4ADS is a ‘charity’ for ‘peace’ that is staffed largely by retired American military experts, and its arguments are founded upon the view that any nation which disobeys the U.S. Government is a ‘threat’ to American national security; in other words, it is solidly neoconservative or U.S.-imperialistic, “You’re either with us or you’re against us”; and they won’t be satisfied (i.e., they assume that there won’t be ‘peace’) until America’s empire includes each and every nation. For them, ‘peace’ can exist only upon the basis of force; everything in international relations is a zero-sum game.
