Garland Nixon dissects the big lie at the center of the “Rules Based Order” marketing jingle being pushed by the Anglo empire, to show that it’s just a modernised version of brutal feudalism. The “”rules-based order” is just a new iteration of the old monarchical pecking order, with the “nobles” at the top of the power pyramid (the US/UK these days), lording over the “commoners” (France, Germany, etc.) and “peasants”—the Global South, led by the great Eurasian powers, Russia and China. As in old feudalism, the Anglo-American mafia thinks that it can do as it pleases with the world—their fief—while the rest of the crowd has no real rights. “If you submit, you prosper,” they promise. “If you do not, you die.” But times are-a-changing, and their exploitative way of life is over.

KIM PETERSEN—Swanson suggests that Russia could have sent unarmed non-violent defenders into Donbas. Swanson realizes that some of these unarmed defenders could be killed but rationalizes that thousands more could die in a war. All these choices that Swanson puts forward in the radio interview conspicuously place an onus on Russia. Russia did pursue a path to peacefully solve its security concerns vis-à-vis Ukraine seeking membership in NATO. The then-German chancellor Angela Merkel, then-French president Francois Hollande, and Ukraine’s former president Petro Poroshenko have all admitted that the Minsk agreements were a stalling tactic so that Ukraine could become militarily fortified.

In what is without a doubt one of the most lucid explanations of the US empire’s current predicament, Garland Nixon parses the strategic realities that spell doom for Washington’s obstinate quest for global hegemony. It’s worth noting, suggests Garland (and we fully agree) that if America is now in a pickle, it is a pickle of its own choosing and creation, born of a highly toxic brew of unchallenged exceptionalist beliefs.

ERIC ZUESSE—he cover-up by the U.S.-and-allied ‘news’-media of Seymour Hersh’s blockbuster self-published February 8th investigative-news report that Joe Biden himself had ordered the destruction of the Nord Stream gas pipelines, wasn’t only the virtually total blackout of it that was engaged in by almost all ‘news’-media in The West — their failing to report that Hersh had issued any such news-report — but was ALSO the denigration of it by the very few that did mention it. Almost only non-mainstream news-media in The West DID report about it, and the four mainstream ones that did were treating it casually and briefly.

RON UNZ—As a result, Hersh’s Democracy Now! segment can no longer be viewed anywhere except on the Youtube site itself, and then only after clicking through two layers of warnings. The obvious intent was to drastically reduce Hersh’s potential audience and this will surely succeed. I assume that these restrictions have been combined with the most severe sort of shadow-banning. So a segment that would have probably been seen by many millions will only get a small fraction of that total.
