CAITLIN JOHNSTONE—Fullerton’s thread has gained a lot of traction because it has been amplified by Olga Lautman, a Senior Fellow at the imperialist think tank Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) with a large following. CEPA’s donor list includes the US State Department, the CIA cutout National Endowment for Democracy, and the weapons manufacturers Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, and General Atomics. Fullerton uses the phrase “crisis actors” to evoke the image most people have of that term and what it means: conspiracy theories about actors pretending to have been wounded or otherwise involved in a false flag mass shooting or bombing incident, particularly Alex Jones’s infamous claims about Sandy Hook victims.

DEBORAH ARMSTRONG—Few things in our world are so horrifying as human trafficking. It’s a worldwide scourge, and according to some reports, Ukraine is one of the worst hot spots for the abduction/kidnapping of people for use in the sex trade or for illegal organ harvest. Even the US State Department admits that “The Government of Ukraine does not fully meet the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking” though it claims that Kiev is “making significant efforts to do so.” Wikipedia even states that “Ukraine is a source, transit, and destination country for men, women, and children trafficked transnationally for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation and forced labor,” though it does not delve into the terrifying world of black-market organ harvesting.

DEBORAH ARMSTRONG—Yesterday, I was honored to be interviewed by Filmmaker Regis Tremblay for his Up Close and Personal series. We talked about what it was like when I lived in the USSR in 1991, what the people were like, my TV news career, what got me started writing about the Donbas, and American apathy. Regis is best known for his film The Ghosts of Jeju, a shocking documentary about the struggle of the people of Jeju Island, S. Korea. Set in the context of the American presence in Korea after World War II, the film reveals horrible atrocities at the hands of the U.S. Military Government of Korea.

Garland examines the many vectors indicating that US foreign policy is doomed to a huge failure in the near future, not just a defeat, as in Vietnam or Afghanistan, but a rank-systemic setback liable to trigger a much-awaited global realignment and the dethroning of the current Hegemon. Referring to the fallout from the revelations about the Minsk agreements, whereby the West, as admitted by Merkel, Hollande and Poroshenko himself, lied to Russia to gain time to arm Ukraine to the hilt and, despite the promises, prosecute a genocidal war against the Donbas, with the ultimate goal of regime change in Moscow, Russia is in no mood to negotiate a cease-fire or any peace accord proposed by the West.

BRIAN BERLETIC—Despite the relatively large size of the package compared with the last several months of aid, the weapons and ammunition fall far short of replacing even Ukraine’s losses let alone granting Ukraine the ability to match or over power Russian forces. Ukraine will likely use many of these systems to patch up elite units within its deteriorating brigades. Germany and France are also sending armored vehicles, the Mauder infantry fighting vehicle and the AMX-10 RC respectively. This is likely paving the way to send additional heavy weapons like main battle tanks.
