Israel threatens to assassinate Syrian President Assad

Israel has recently made a series of unprecedented threats against the Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance party and Syria’s President Bashar Al Assad.

Speaking through French negotiators Israel informed Hezbollah that “it is not interested in the war, but ready to wage it if it is imposed on [Israel]”. This was recounted by Israeli political sources to Hebrew media outlet Yedioth Ahronoth.

Israel has stated that it will not wage war “according to Hezbollah’s agenda and [the region] will witness strategic shocks”.

According to the message passed to Hezbollah by France - if Hezbollah fully commits to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestinian Resistance factions, Israel will “resort to American power to suppress Hezbollah”. A clear admission that Israel is incapable of suppressing Hezbollah alone without US help. Added to which Israel knows that virtually the entire region is poised to intervene also. Even states like Jordan who have good relations historically with the British neocolonialists and Israel have one of the largest diaspora Palestinian populations in the region that have been protesting in vast numbers to open the borders with Palestine to enter the conflict.

Israel also threatened the security of President Assad were Hezbollah to enter the war. In this scenario, Israel would confront and overthrow the Syrian government a veiled threat was conveyed that there would be an assassination attempt on President Assad personally.

Military sources told the newspaper that the decision announced by US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to bring the US aircraft carrier USS Gerald Ford closer to the region was part of this threat.

The huge modern battleship carries 38 F-35, F-15, and F-16 fighter planes, and has a stockpile of 1,000 tons of weapons. It is accompanied by four small warships, a ship carrying missiles, and four nuclear war submarines, and is ready for combat.

The same military sources claimed that Israel had held talks with the Biden administration to request Congress’ approval to allow US forces to participate in an escalated conflict that would include Hezbollah.

According to a report in Sputnik Global on the 29th October, US Special Forces are already involved on the ground in Gaza:

A total of 5,000 US servicepeople took part in Israel's overnight ground operation in northern Gaza, Iranian news agency reported on Saturday, citing sources.

The Israeli operation reportedly involved three divisions and several brigades of the US Armed Forces, according to the news agency.

There was also the scandal of Biden shaking hands with US Delta Force operatives in the Israeli-occupied territories and the photo being published without hiding their identity.

According to media leaks, a number of extremist ministers in the Israeli government are calling on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to wait for Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah to make a move. Rather he must exploit the war to launch a preemptive strike on the party. Netanyahu has been cautious and thrown the ball in the Israeli army’s court.

Army officials believe it was not wise for Israel to open the northern front, but they have stressed that if Hezbollah provocations persist, then “we will respond to them appropriately.”

The ramping up of anti-Iran rhetoric has been seen in the UK, US and by Israel:

On Saturday, an Israeli minister warned that the Hamas attack was just a ruse by Iran and would be followed by a surprise assault by Hezbollah.

“Iran is behind everything that is happening in our region... It pushed [Hamas] into war, and... will push [Hezbollah] to launch a second war,” the minister was quoted as saying.

The Israeli army announced on Oct. 5 that it was preparing “to conduct the largest massive training exercises to train on launching a broad, multi-front war” next November.

It added that these exercises will focus on the air force, with the unusual participation of the German, American, Italian, Greek and French air forces. Britain canceled its participation at the last minute and decided to send observers.

In 2018 Yoav Gallant, Israeli Minister of Defence since 2022, called for the assassination of President Assad - “[Assad] does not have a place in this world”

According to a report in Haaretz, Gallant made his threat very clear:

“In my view, we are crossing a red line. And in my view, the time has come to assassinate Assad. It’s as simple as that,” said Galant, who previously served as the head of the IDF’s Southern Command.

Galant likened the assassination of Assad to cutting off the “tail of the snake.” After that, he said, “we can focus on the head, which is in Tehran.”

President Trump, often portrayed as the deep-state-swamp-drainer, also said that the US should have assassinated President Assad in 2017. Instead he limited his response to yet another UK/White Helmet orchestrated “chemical weapon” event in Khan Sheikhoun, Syria - to a largely cosmetic launch of 59 Tomahawk missiles against Syria from the Mediterranean Sea.

I have always considered it not coincidental that the staged chemical weapon attack occurred AFTER Trump had wanted to withdraw US military from Syrian territory - an act of good sense roundly criticised by the UK regime who have primary control over the MI6-midwived White Helmet organisation embedded with Al Qaeda in Syria.

Biden’s Address to Nation: Shameful Hypocrisy a Final Nail in America’s Coffin

Well, that’s it folks. Tonight marks what may very well be the last gasp of le siècle Américain.

Biden’s repugnant address to the nation was fraught with an unprecedented lack of self-awareness. Bloated with hubris, it showed the naked face of U.S.’s callow and abject servitude to the globalists who’ve highjacked not only America’s foreign policy, but its domestic one as well—and everything in between.

You have to be in some kind of drugged stupor or under the spell of establishment narrative to not notice the hideously rank hypocrisy that flowed from Biden’s demented, medically-malformed mouth tonight. In the same sentence, he unironically condemned Putin’s “barbaric invasion” over a smaller neighbor while begging for tens of billions for Israel to…carry out a barbaric invasion over its smaller neighbor.

How is it possible for that many people to be so asleep as to not see the patent hypocrisy in that? We’re to believe that Putin’s “cruel and unjust” bombs are killing Ukrainians while Israel’s “justified” bombs are merely ‘collateralizing’ the Palestinians.

At the ~2:50 mark, he even has the gall to compare Hamas to Russia in that “they both want to annihilate a neighboring Democracy.” This is gaslighting of historic proportions—and Biden loves historic pretensions, after all he compared himself to Abraham Lincoln during the speech.

It’s a well-known and established fact that Israel’s one and only goal is to completely remove Palestinians from Gaza and send them to Egypt, which is the literal definition of removing a neighboring country, given that Gaza will consequently cease to exist. Secondly, given the fact that the entire UN has recognized Palestine as a nation, but Israel refuses to allow the Palestinians their nationhood, means it is Israel by definition that is trying to literally eradicate a nation on its own very borders; and not just trying, but has effectively already done so.

Here’s a very old newspaper that proves Israel’s plans were always to push Palestinians from Gaza into the Sinai, and those from the West Bank into Jordan:

 
Now Israel is deliberately targeting hospitals, mosques, and churches in order to strip northern Gaza of any amenities, landmarks, or cultural sites worth living near, so as to leave Palestinians with no choice but to clear out south.

Yes, folks—this is real. They’re not even making any pretenses to hide it anymore:

It’s all about pure destruction and purposeful genocide to evict the Palestinians in a new Nakba.

But the old demented fogey’s hypocritical parallels continue.

He mocks Putin for claiming that the Soviet Union created Ukraine—that is, in essence, he’s defending the fact that Ukraine has a rightful mandate to exist despite being a rather artificial construct. Well, Palestine too was carved up and its remains turned into arbitrary, artificial states—so shouldn’t they likewise have a right to exist? What gives Israel the right to deny Palestine its own legal right to statehood, inherent to the original Partition Plan certified by the UN?

He goes on to say that Ukraine is just trying to free its land of the invader—hello? What do you think Palestinians are trying to do? Not only in the immediate sense, considering that Israel is about to launch a land invasion literally into their land of Gaza, but in the wider sense that the state of Israel itself exists on historical and ancestral Palestinian land. Interestingly, when the Partition was created in 1947, 62% of the land of Palestine was allotted to the Jewish state even though Palestinians outnumbered Jews 2 to 1. Now that’s equity!

But Biden does a clumsy job of tying it all together. You see, it’s a monumental failed attempt at classic, textbook gaslighting. He opens by making a case for racist Arab genocide, and then finishes his repulsive screed by showing “how much he loves Muslims” by invoking the rampant “Islamophobia” in America, naming the Muslim child recently killed in Chicago on account of the events in Israel, etc.

This is classic gaslighting. It’s the abusive husband who beats his wife then tries to lovebomb and manipulate her into thinking he did it out of love and compassion for her. “It’s because I care so much about you that I have to beat you senseless!”

So why did I start off with the seemingly clickbaity opener that this is the final nail in America’s coffin? It wasn’t just sensationalism—I meant it. That’s because at this pivotal historical moment—which Biden himself accurately defined as the inflection point—Biden forever stamped America’s place onto the wrong side of history. He revealed to the world at large that America’s moral standing has fallen; he revealed the naked face of America’s complete moral degradation and degeneracy.

Tomorrow he is set to make a landmark request for a massive $74B to support genocide, both in the continuation of barbaric Ukrainian slaughter of civilians, which has gone on for 9 years, and Israel’s barbaric ethnic cleansing of Palestine.

 

This inflection point may be a “point of no return” for the world. Many are now acknowledging that the world appears to be heading toward a very dark turn. It becomes increasingly likely that the U.S. itself will not even have elections in 2024, or if it does, they will mark an unprecedented social upheaval and potential civil war. This is what I meant by the final nail. Events are spinning out of control, and there’s high chance that “nothing will ever be the same” again if Israel actually pulls the trigger, and Biden gets his money.

There’s still a chance that saner heads will prevail and we’ll avert certain fatalistic possibilities. But one way or another, the moral turpitude being witnessed in the Western world is boiling over to a fever pitch now. The world has grown sick of the arrant hypocrisy, double standards, and outright racism of the elitists from Borrell’s “European Garden.”

We’ve now repeatedly seen them dehumanize anyone who doesn’t agree with their narrative. Russians are allowed to be dehumanized as orcs, Syrians, Palestinians, etc., can be killed at will and labeled ‘terrorists’ with nary a tear shed. In Europe, the Quran is allowed to be openly burned as “free speech”, but now anyone protesting Israel with a Palestinian flag is jailed for “violating” some kind of law:

“Come on man, that’s moral uh.. uh…moral uh…”

Read that again and think it through: it’s perfectly legal to burn the Quran as “free speech” but it’s illegal to carry a Palestinian flag because it’s “insensitive” to the Israeli people. 

The world is sick of the rank hypocrisy and double standards of the West. This is why I believe today’s speech marks a pivotal point which we may look back to one day, many years in the future. Biden is the perfect emblematic “terminal president”—a sick, decaying, geriatric, craven and amoral, medically-induced, plastic sock-puppet who represents the terminally diseased final days of his declining empire.

“If you only knew how bad things truly were.”

The problem with oppressing a population with maximum force is that at some point they start figuring they’ve got nothing to lose by fighting back.

Do I think this latest uprising will end in more positive results than negative for Palestinians? No. Does that mean I’ll condemn the Palestinian resistance for fighting back? Also no.

This is because doing so would be nonsensical, for a couple of different reasons. Firstly, because nobody can tell me what the Palestinians should do instead that is both realistic and reasonable. It would be easy for me to sit here in my armchair and say the Palestinians should either maintain the status quo or lie down, relinquish their homes and homeland and accept whatever table scraps they’re able to get, but we can see from the Palestinian perspective that that’s not reasonable. It would be easy for me to sit in my armchair and argue that Palestinians should just focus on securing a one-state or two-state solution, but we can see from the Israeli political landscape that that’s not realistic.

So what else can they do? What reasonable and realistic options do they have? No one can provide me a satisfactory answer.

Ultimately this is just Palestinians doing what they feel they need to do out of total desperation, because they feel backed into a corner with no other options. And they feel backed into a corner with no other options because that does appear to be the case. There are a lot of people I could blame for their being in those circumstances, but the very last on that list would be the victims of the abuse themselves.

Does fighting the Soviet Union make you a Nazi? Yeah, in WW2 and later, you bet it does, no matter how you want to spin the tale, as POLITICO's pathetic article tries to do.
IN THIS EPISODE
The Blowback roundtable convenes to discuss current events and to relate them to the dominant political ideologies proliferated by the Western ruling class.  The popular paradigm of “Democracy vs. Authoritarianism” (or "Democracy vs. Dictatorship") peddled by Western propaganda is critically examined in this episode, and an alternative conceptual framework is advanced.  A framework based on a (Marxian) material analysis of where wealth and power actually reside, and where they truly originate. This timely and essential discussion needs to be mainstreamed and proliferated across the entirety of the Western world.  Mainstreaming these kinds of conversations is a pre-requisite to the establishment of a strong working class opposition to the road to global war that the ruling class is driving us down.

A formidable panel led by Billy Bob, with Ben Toth in Hungary, ("3rd generation Communist"), Carlo Parcelli (poet/activist, Washington DC) and Leo Zhao, (artist/intellectual, in Berlin) tackles issues cropping up in the US empire as chaos, panic, political bungling, and massive self-delusions multiply upon the realization that the Ukraine project is a bust likely to consolidate the rise of a multipolar order. Living in a bubble of unchallenged self-approval, the depraved Western elites simply miscalculated. They hugely underestimated Russia's cultural strength, its de facto strategic bonds with China and Iran, and the colossal, largely autarkic industrial and defense infrastructure inherited from the much maligned Soviet Union. What's worse, from being cynical injectors of Orwellian big lies into the hoi polloi, these elites, now in their pathetic mediocrity and desperation, are becoming their most avid consumers. Comforting fantasies are their opioid of choice. 

Highlights 
The Canadian Nazis fiasco • POLITICO (an US/German media platform) pushes dishonesty to an art form in justifying the unjustifiable •  The moral degeneracy of Western leaders (and, naturally, the hidden ruling elites), is evidenced not just by their longstanding and thinly veiled Nazi sympathies, but by grotesque retail outbursts they proffer with increasing frequency, such as UK's former defense minister, Ben Wallace's advise to Kiev to recruit ever younger people, teenagers, to pursue the anti-Russia war, literally to the last Ukrainian. The equally degenerate Josep Borrel, EU's "top diplomat", is also on record with similar ideas • The moderator (Billy Bob) urges the panel to "unpack" the widely used (but bogus) idea that the West is a democracy but Russia and China are dictatorships • Washington and its vassals are busy convincing each other that "To overcome the challenges posed by 'dictatorship' we really, really need to win in Ukraine." •   This is obviously convenient to the legion of grifters profiting from the Ukraine tragedy. • But, there's more. The real question (as Leo Zhao notes, 13:00) is why the capitalist West lacks real democracy • As to the matter of "dictatorship" infecting the world outside the confines of the "collective West", the whole proposition is a falsehood grounded in ignorance. Marxism explains it clearly and irrefutably • In a world still divided by classes, ALL governments are a dictatorship, all governments are authoritarian. The only question is WHO, which class, is served by the "dictatorship" holding state power— the aristocrats, nobles, enslavers, capitalists— or the masses, the vast majority of the people who, at any point in recorded history, have done the actual work. • The old refrain, scratch a liberal and you find a fascist remains true. Liberalism and fascism exist on an ideological continuum. From Weimar on down, history offers numerous instances of this. Whenever capitalism is threatened, fascism rears its head. Italy, Spain and Germany in the 1930s are a prime example.

Summation
Billy Bob is an unusually gifted teacher of living Marxism. You rarely see a major topic being discussed without him adding the proper historical and theoretical framework so that viewers (especially newbies) can see in real time how Marxism turbocharges political insight.  This roundtable is a wonderful resource for anyone interested in or committed to social change, as well as a superior understanding of contemporary reality.
