EDITOR—Yael Gabay, one of the signatories and founder of Israel’s Freedom for Animals, said her organisation rescued a lot of turkeys, chickens, cats and dogs early in the war but her volunteers are now no longer allowed into Gaza. She wants the Israeli military to allow her to take food into the Strip and to accompany her while she rescues abandoned animals from the warzone.

ERIC ZUESSE—America’s President Joe Biden has not only continued to supply to Israel’s Government even more weapons and ammunition and military intelligence assistance in order to continue this genocide, and refused to place any conditions upon Israel’s usage of this equipment and assistance, but has requested from Congress an additional $14 billion donation to that Government for added weapons and ammunition on an emergency basis — above and beyond the usual $3.8 billion in annual U.S. donations to that Government.

EDITOR—In Stalin: History and Critique of A Black Legend (2008), Losurdo stimulated a debate about Joseph Stalin, about whom he claimed is built a kind of black legend intended to discredit the whole of communism. Losurdo clearly saw that the nonstop demonisation of Stalin was simply the utterly cynical propaganda part of the West’s multidirectional war on the Soviet Union, a war that the collective West had been waging on the Bolsheviks from the moment the revolution came to power in 1917.

EDITOR—The roundtable discusses the probability that the Venezuelan / Guyana clash over territorial rights, long outstanding, may ignite a regional war with US imperialist intervention. Few things would give the frustrated US more pleasure these days than to attack a rebel nation in its own hemisphere, and where war logistics might be easier to manage than in the Middle East, Taiwan, or Ukraine. Not to mention that the Washington planners and their masters, the Neocons in the Biden administration, may think they can easily topple the Bolivarian government and seize Venezuela’s enormous oil reserves.
