EDITOR—Lira holds forth on the origins of Ukraine’s astonishing corruption, and the deep-seated emotional motivations for Nuland’s hatred of Russia, which Lira traces back to injuries and persecution inflicted on her great-grandfather during Russian pogroms in Bessarabia almost 150 years ago, forcing his son’s emigration to America. This emotional scar, shared by many Jews in the US establishment (Blinken, and the Kagans and the rest of the neoconservatives, for example) may explain, to some extent, their deeply-held Russophobia. Victoria Nuland, says Lira, is not a nice person. She’s a suckup to those above her and a mean tyrant to those with less power. Meanwhile, as one of the key people in charge of “the Ukraine project”, she oversees the colossal grift taking place in that country by all kinds of US and Western business and political figures, much of it huge money-laundering operations, theft and illegal use of state assets, etc.

EDITOR—This video has quite a story, albeit, a typical story for a film that exposes the Empire in all its perfidy. It was first posted about a decade ago, on Cyrano’s Journal, when we first encountered this resource. It was soon the object of sabotage by technical means: the page mysteriously vanished and our server went down—for almost a full week. Further attempts met the same fate, so we gave up until circumstances became favorable to our side. Lately, we decided to try again and looked for the video all over the place, to no avail. It was certainly not on YouTube, a platform notorious for its aggressive participation in imperialist censorship of free speech exposés. But, we eventually found it on YouTube, again, of all places, although after posting it here a few days, it again vanished (see the black box below). Clicking on the link provided to supposedly see it on YouTube itself, as they promise, leads nowhere. So we conducted a new wide search and located an independent depot that had preserved this film.

EDITOR—The panel discusses the retirement of Victoria Nuland, one of the vilest warmongering Neocons to ever occupy a position of power inside the State Dept. and the National Security fraternity; a war criminal (like the rest of the top foreign policy machine of this country), of unusual single-mindedness in the prosecution of her projects, a trait that spelled wholesale social dislocation, destruction and death in many countries around the globe, especially in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. The roundtable wonders what might have prompted this sudden departure, and whether this might be traced to the political and strategic crisis facing the Biden administration, or some skeletons in Nuland’s closet, a good probability considering the corruption drowning Ukraine and the depth of her involvement in that country.

EDITOR—Besides the Ukraine War and its current phase, the panel discusses the turbulent, massively confusing politics detonated by the US ruling class through military meddling across the globe coupled with indifference to the actual pressing needs of the American people, massive economic insecurity in the working class, fascistic lawlessness in domestic politics (i.e., the persecution of Trump through blatant lawfare, plus multiple betrayals by the duopoly, etc.), and messy if not downright criminal handling of the “border issue”, and other concerns. Carlo Parcelli notes that there is something not exactly admirable in the Ukrainian character, a certain ethical dimension these people lack, a political obtuseness mixed with stubborn blind materialism, that makes them ignore their plight as hapless proxies in a war they never had any possibility of winning. It’s amazing that with so much recent history advising against it, they bought the Western lie.

12 minutes readP. GREANVILLE—I fully realise that many people in the TGP anti-imperialist audience have a problem with Chomsky, and that many have simply given up on him as an effective or noteworthy voice in contemporary politics, some dismissing him as “controlled opposition”. While all of that may be true, and Chomsky in some areas can indeed be dismissed as a fake revolutionist or simply an anti-communist liberal or socdem spouting radical rhetoric, there is no denying that at least some of his prolific output remains relevant and even visionary to our current dilemmas.
